This mallet is hefty and solid, with a comfortable grip. It functions well for leather work, and I've also used for wood carving and woodblock print carving. The size is good for most tasks, it's heavy enough to do real work, but not heavy enough to be fatiguing or unwieldy.

Nice size and weight, well made

Nice mallet for the price. The construction is simple, and not quite as elegant as more expensive versions, but at the end of the day, you hit stuff with it, and it does well at that job.

Got this yesterday and have punched about 1400 stitch holes in 5oz leather using it already. I appreciate the solid feel and good weight.

Works as intended, the fit and finish of the handle leaves a lot to be desired. Decent weight, good for thinner material and carving/tooling.
