Fantastic upgrade — super fast and reliable! Picked up the GL.iNet Flint 3 recently, and I’m seriously impressed. Setup was quick and easy — the interface is clean, and it gives you way more control than your typical consumer router. The WiFi 7 speeds are no joke; everything in my house runs smoother, from gaming to streaming 4K video. The tri-band setup is great too — the 6GHz band handles my gaming rig perfectly, while all the smart devices chill on the 2.4 and 5GHz bands without slowing anything down. 2.4 and 5GHz bands signal strength is strong throughout the whole house, even through a couple of walls. 6GHz falters quickly the further you get away, that is expected with 6GHz though. I also love that it supports advanced features like VPN, AdGuard, and all the custom firmware options GL.iNet is known for. It’s powerful but still user-friendly. Overall, this thing is a beast for the price — fast, stable, and packed with features. Highly recommend if you want pro-level performance without spending a fortune!

Okay this is fantastic upgrade from the bt smarthub 2. I'm on a 900Mbps bt full fibre connection and over wifi the smarthub 2 would struggle to hit 400Mbps on the 5ghz channel. The setup was straightforward and the router walks you through it. Just unplug the smarthub and then plug this straight into the BT ONT and configure the PPPOE settings and you're away. I used the same SSID and wifi password as the bt router to save me having then setup every device in the house again. Once done everything just logged straight onto the flint 3. The flint 3 on 5ghz with a 180mhz channel width i can get the full 900Mbps on wifi. So its clear this router has amazing wifi speed. I specifically bought this to increase the data rate to my pc upstairs which has a wifi 6e pcie card. Although this router is tri band and has a 6ghz radio this frequency does not reach upstairs and through a wall to my pc so I'm only really reviewing the 5ghz capability. Previously with the smarthub 2 I would struggle to achieve 250Mbps. With the flint 3 I'm able to achieve 630Mbps which is an amazing improvement. (To be clear, I was not expecting the full 900), i may in time upgrade the pc card to wifi 7 to try and leverage MLO.. add to this the other amazing features such as network wide ad blocking with adguard and the ability to configure a vpn globally or policy based and quality of service this is a no brainer upgrade for anyone looking to upgrade away from the standard ISP supplied router on a full fibre connection.

This is a very nice, very fast device. I am very happy with my purchase. I have previously flashed DDWRT onto my router and have really missed the features over the last few years - this has all of those lovely features and options to add more. I am using it as a bridge to the main router and it is giving excellent throughput and working really well. I will also be making use of the openvpn server as I am often away from my home network. Build quality seems good - design, according to my son, is a bit 'Deceptacon-ish'. If you want / need lots of configuration options for your router - this is the best I have found. My last was a Netgear Nighthhawk, which is absolute pants in comparison despite being a similar price when purchased.

Bought this router a few weeks ago as a replacement for an ancient TP-Link router I had previously, and have been very pleased with the purchase. I chose this router for the WiFi 7 support to ensure I was future-proofed, but haven't had a chance to test it. Otherwise it has excellent signal strength, good speeds over both WiFi and ethernet, and is both extremely configurable (if you know what you're doing) and easy to just set up and go (if you don't).

With the latest update, where they solved many issues or workarounds, I have to say it's an almost perfect router. But you will need to have at least some networking knowledge; it's not 'plug and play,' and with many features, it can get overwhelming.

This is a review of the GL.iNet GL-BE9300 (Flint 3). Never got as far as connecting it to the Internet. Claims to do segmentation via VLAN tagging but even with the the 4.9.0 firmware it's not possible to use the NSS chip and physically segment a hardware port (even via 3t) in LuCI while routing through 'switch1'. Yes there is an article about how to do this with the correct information by user '754567889' further down on the page which might work for WiFi but it doesn't for physical. It cannot hold the two states ('interface' and 'switch_vlan') concurrently. Things rapidly become way too involved for something sold as capable. I'll go back to my free and rudimentary router & give up on segmentation.

WebUI is great, configuration was quite easy but there were a few co fusions on the WiFi side. Coverage isn't the best but WiFi 7 isn't aimed at extending that so I'm not too shocked. Speeds are great over WiFi and ethernet on my 2.5GBe line. Would recommend if you're within the same room or floor but for a whole house coverage, I'd recommend getting something else or a second one to link and extend signal. Considering the price, this beats all the competition I've tried.

Se nota que está pensado para usuarios que quieren tener control total de su red. La conexión Wi-Fi va muy bien, tiene buena cobertura y estabilidad incluso con varios dispositivos conectados. Los puertos de 2.5 Gbps son un plus si tienes fibra rápida o NAS. Además, el sistema basado en OpenWrt permite instalar cosas como Tailscale, WireGuard, AdGuard Home o montar una VPN en minutos. En resumen, es un router muy completo y fiable, ideal para quien quiere algo más que lo típico de los routers comerciales. Si te gusta trastear, tener tu propia VPN o usarlo como centro de red doméstica, el Flint 3 es una gran elección

Very powerful home router with OpenWRT that runs my hole home network with chrome casts, androidTV, homelab with 3 servers and a home assistant network. I use adguard home and Tailscale to access my homelab securely both from my local network and externally without any problems. My kids get to see what they are supposed to see and do online at my times not theirs. All in my family enjoy full gigabit speed when surfing without ads, spam and malicious acts. Can not praise it enough! Five star all day long!

I wanted to upgrade my home network from Wi-Fi 5 to Wi-Fi 7 and take advantage of the 6 GHz band as well as the MLO feature. At first, I bought a TP-Link Archer 700 router but after I initialized it, I could only connect to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands in my PC and laptop which are equipped with the Intel BE200 Wi-Fi 7 card and Intel AX211 Wi-Fi 6e card respectively. I contacted TP-Link technical support and made a lot of changes to the router and Wi-Fi card settings but with no success. I thought the router HW was defective so I exchanged for another one but the result was the same. I decided to return the TP-Link and ordered the GL.iNet Flint 3. I was a little worried because GL.iNet is an unknown brand to me. Much to my pleasant surprise, the Flint 3 worked right out of the box. My devices can connect to all 3 bands - 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz as well as the MLO. The GL.iNet is also very easy to use. In setting up the App, it is important to bind the Flint 3 (in access point mode) to my GoodCloud AC in order for the App to detect the router. Overall, the price to feature/performance ratio is great for the Flint 3 and I have no hesitation to recommend this Wi-Fi 7 router.
