BIC Chrome Platinum Double Edge Safety Razor Disposable Single Blades (100 Pack)

I have just started using a safety razor at the tender age of 69, having used the plastic, disposable, multi-bladed things for years. My new safety razor naturally came with a pack of blades, and they were impressive enough to make me decided to continue using it. These BIC blades are considerably sharper than the ones that came with the razor, and sharper blades mean fewer passes to get a close shave and that results in less skin irritation. The blades hold their edge as well as the other ones. This pack of 100 blades will last me over a year, and this means very cheap shaving when compared against the disposable options. The BIC blades have minimal packing, and that suits me. I am pleased with these blades and will be buying them again when my supplies dwindle.

I have tried a lot of razor blade brands since I bought a safety razor and I really find that these blades are the best on the market! I have found that they give my legs a much smoother shave and I have not once experienced razor burn when using them. They also take quite a long time to blunt so I get a lot of uses out of one blade.

only 90 in the pack which was advertised as a 100 pack. Otherwise good quality blades at a very reasonable price

I've been using an Edwin Jagger DE89 as my go to for about 10 years and have tried pretty much every blade across many same packs. I settled on Astra greens for years for good price/performance balance. Came across these Bic blades which gor some unknown reason I'd never tried dispite the size and popularity of Bic products. Firstly these are sharp! I got a few weepers on the first shave and realised quickly I needed to think about what I was doing! As these are so sharp I noticed they are better after a few shaves and I have tough 50yr old stubble. These Bics last a good 4 shaves, usually a blade last me 2 so these have excellent longevity. I'm now contemplating these as my new go to over Astra greens. The Bic are sharper and last longer but the Astra are more comfortable initially. If I can adjust to the sharpness I guess the Bics will win out, I've got a hundred of these so enough to work through my dilemma:)
