U.S. Army Special Forces Handbook (US Army Survival)

Like most military type handbooks, the information is direct and designed to be used in conjunction with actual lecture and hands-on training. This is not a book for anyone seeking recreational reading. This manual is designed for active military Special Forces. It covers a lot of valuable information in its detailed nine chapters. Chapter one explains the general mission of Special Forces. The remaining chapters cover principle of explosives, air operations, weapons, communications first aid, survival and miscellaneous information on guerrilla training and other factors. I found chapters 5 and 8 to be the most interesting. It has illustrations of various weapons such as the AR-15, the Carbine Cal. 30, the .45 Cal. Pistol, the Thompson submachine gun and many other weapons. The survival section explains very important principles on how to survive in the jungle etc. The first aid section is also educational. This handbook is full of drawings explaining each section of this manual. This book would be of interest for not only military people but for anyone who desires to learn the basic principles and tactics of military operations. Every critical thinking patriot should have this book on the shelf. Too valuable to Not Have ready access to...this world is heading in a very bad and volatile direction, don't be foolish and trust the system.

Though the material is dated like many others from its time much of the information regarding how unit ops are handled stay the same, while Special Forces operate differently from other units in many cases they still have certain things that can't be replaced by technology

This is a Must have for any and all outdoor folks. Hunters, Campers, Back Packers etc.

It's not what I expected but is ok to be fair. Browsing through the pages I saw that is outdated in some parts and the pictures are a bit messy and can barely be read that takes off 1 star. It has very interesting but dangerous to play with information about demolitions and some mixes for incendiary grenades and stuff like that.Personally I found this interesting but I wouldn't play with them. Since some of them are highly volatile and you need to test them to get the right amounts. But I take one star of for misspellings.
