As an ex-Chef and Pattiseur I am very impressed by the quality of this scraper. It’s sharp enough to slice dough and score baguettes etc and excellent for clearing anything stuck on the granite etc. It’s excellent for cleaning up any other mess made in bakery, pastries and cake making, and sharp enough to even cut your fingers if you’re not concentrating on what you’re doing! It is not flexible enough, however for scraping out bowls, a plastic scraper is needed for this! Although I don’t work professionally now, I still love to cook and bake at home, so only the best tools will do! The scraper may feel heavy to some, but overall I believe this will last a very long time. The measurements are an added bonus to those that find conversions frustrating to work out, myself included especially when it comes to exact measurements of what one cup is equal to.... and so on. I’ve always found that guess work has worked well for me, still having the odd hiccup along the way, but then I’ve been fully trained for nearly 40 years now, so I’ve been used to guessing out how many ingredients I need for a long time. Having mostly worked in the patisserie sector with cakes and pastries, one learns quickly enough that scales are not needed so much now, unless I’m working on something new, but the measurements are accurate enough for those not so confident in guess work. My preference to choose the plastic handle to the wooden is because if the wood isn’t a good wood then it would soon rot away leaving one with a useless item to be work with. There are many different thickness grades of this tool , so some maybe flexible to work with for preferred use. In all I think this is a great tool which has been beautifully made and should stand the test of time, and should the handle come away from the blade, with the right glue ( food friendly, that is ) it can be restuck to the blade!

Just what I wanted. I've been using it to make pasta dough and it works really well for both mixing and chopping the dough. Seems to be of good quality and easy to clean.

Elle est vraiment multifonction : idéale comme coupe-pâte pour le pain et la pizza, mais aussi pratique pour hacher ou racler une surface de travail. Le tranchant est efficace sans être dangereux, et le manche offre une bonne prise en main. Un outil simple mais indispensable, qui fait gagner du temps en cuisine.

Great tool! Well made and of high quality HARD steel. I’ve owned for six years now. I scrape our flat top weekly. The edges are still super sharp and show no wear at all. The corners are still perfect. I even use it to clean other metal on our Viking range. So smooth it doesn’t scratch and the burnt stuff scrapes right off. So much easier and less abrasive than cleaners and rough sponges. Buy this one!
