Chef Specialties Replacement Rubber Plug for Wood Salt Shakers - Fits 1" Opening - Made in USA

The product discription says it will fit a 1 inch opening. Not possible when it is 1.25 inches. I'll change the star rating if they are able to send me the correct size. Update: The seller responded quickly, same day, and gave me an explanation. It turns out it is the right size plug. It takes a bit of effort to get it in the first time. I had to work it in. It is a tight fit. I have refilled the salt shaker and put the plug in. It is working perfectly so far.

I have to tell you I have ordered all different sizes and none of them fit … they were all two small. FINALLY I FOUND THESE AND THEY FIT!!!!! HURRAY!!!!!! Thank you for making these! They cost a bit more but was worth the expense to get rid of the aggravation of all the others that didn’t fit!!!! THRILLED!!!!!!

Measured the opening of the piggy bank with a digital caliper before purchase, it measured 1.1 inches. This thing fits like a hotdog down a hallway, measures less than 1" on the OD of the sealing surface. Should work great for openings just smaller than 1". Had to order another set of plugs for the piggy bank. Rubber is soft and nice and not smelly, just does not fit the advertised application size.

What a waste of money. I measured the opening with a micrometer, and it measured 1". This plug is easily over 1" and it doesn't come close to fitting. What chaps my backside is they charged me close to $9.00 for shipping and handling. I won't return this item because it would cost me more money. I will never order anything from this company. I would love to hear from this company about this. I would be surprised if I hear anything.

This 1-inch plug is said to be for wooden salt mills/shakers but it fit fine into my ceramic pepper shaker. I am absurdly pleased with the results. Best value for the money, in terms of enjoyment, that I've had yet. (Note that I had been using a "do-it-yourself" plug that consisted of cotton and tape to keep the pepper in the shaker... the shaker had sentimental value and I didn't want to get rid of it. Such an easy solution!)

It worked well in our wooden salt shaker. The downsides is are the price is for only one, and that the cost of shipping is 2.5x the price of the item. For all that they should at least send a pair of plugs.

It fit our tall salt shaker perfectly.

Perhaps the earlier problem with description was fixed. I ordered 2 of these for my antique ceramic salt and pepper shakers, because it was clear that there was one per package. I measured the old corks on the shakers, which were one inch across. These new stoppers fit my shakers perfectly.
