I realy like this program. I saw it in another book store, but it was not as expensive with Amazon. I home school a 4 year old & her is learning really fast now. He is in 1st grade math now.

I got these for my six year old. We chose to have him wait a year before starting kindergarten, but wanted to make sure he has at least covered the basics in the meantime. ABC Mouse is great, but the flash cards provide a nice, interactive, additional alternative. They have a variety of different question/answer types to mix things up. The repetition is a great reinforcement. He loves the playful pictures on the flash cards and is so happy when he gets a new one right or figures out a better way to get to an answer. Extremely simplistic in content and design. There are very simple pictures and very simple concepts. For example side of a card has a number 1 - 10 and the other side has a hand(s) holding up that many fingers. There are also cards that have the number on one side and a picture of that many things on the other.. There's cards to teach opposites (up vs down, heavy vs light, more vs less). Some cards have for example 8 mittens or 6 cats written on one side and the number on the other. Some cards have the name of a shape on one side and the shape on the other. There's ordinal numbers in the stack. I bought these for my son with down syndrome but a child with regular aptitude can learn basic math functions by rote with flashcards before the first day of kindergarten if a parent knows to teach their kids These cards are useful in building a good a mathematics foundation but pre K is more accurate in my opinion I would have given these flashcards four stars BUT: These flashcards are thin and not covered by any protective film. The paper is thicker that the 500 sheet computer paper that most people buy but thinner than an index card. They aren't going to last very long and they don't slide against each other so they are hard to use. I hope this review helps.
