Glutathione Cell Defense - Supplement with 400 mg Reduced Glutathione, L-Cysteine, and Anthocyanins from Botanical Blend - 60 Capsules

A lot of us, especially anyone who reacts to "everyday" levels of toxic chemicals, tend to be low on glutathione, the body's master antioxidant. Even after doing things to support the body's production of it. Direct supplementation of glutathione can be difficult because the digestive system isn't kind to the supplements. Many people take NAC, a very inexpensive amino acid supplement that is a precursor to glutathione. Certainly, that is the thing to try first. For many of us, NAC might help but it doesn't give the same boost that direct glutathione does. IV glutathione works great but is very expensive and not very practical. Recancostat is the only oral supplement form of glutathione I know of that really works. It's pricey but worth it to me because it helps my body deal with the everyday toxins I can't avoid. The effects of a single pill are subtle but they make a noticeable difference over time. There are also powdered drink forms of glutathione but they tend to be more expensive and harder to take (LEF.org has the cheapest and is very good) and they contain dairy, so I had to give it up. And there is nebulized glutathione, which I have not tried but have heard good reports about, but it also costs more than Recancostat. Not everyone can get full benefit from Recancostat and do better with other methods. I do great on it and believe it is worth a trial month (I use one pill/day to keep the costs down...take it on an empty stomach).

I didn't get out of it what I was expecting but to be fair I used only one bottle and didn't stick to the diet as strictly as I should have.

I can tell a difference right after taking my recancostat which is usually twice a day. If my allergies are bothering me I will take one and feel relief - it is a great antioxidant!

This is a good product, but my last order had opened capsules in the bottle. The bottle was heavily dusted with black powder and there was an empty capsule on top. At the price of $103 for 60 caps, I think this is unacceptable. I tried complaining and asking for compensation with no reply.
