While it spins the blood well and is aesthetically pleasing in appearance. It has a high pitched noise the entire time as it spins.

I have a home lab that I am continuously making upgrades/improvements to. I was happy to get this centrifuge machine as I am able to easily separate components of various fluids. It is a low-speed centrifuge, which can handle the tube sizes, 2mL, 5mL, 10mL, and 15mL. It has an auto shutoff feature if it detects vibrations that are too intense (make sure your tubes are balanced). It also has a timer and a locking lid that will unlock at the end of the experiment. The safety features offer peace of mind.

Setting up a small lab or classroom environment often means finding a balance between cost and functionality, especially with specialized equipment like this. I was pleasantly surprised with this benchtop centrifuge. 🟦 For the price this unit is surprisingly well built. It has a decent amount of weight to it and the feet keep it stable on the bench. The housing is a tough plastic that doesn't feel flimsy, and the lid closes securely. It's a nice medium size that doesn't eat up too much workspace. ➡️ The controls are simple and intuitive. The speed is adjustable from 500 to 4000 rpm, which is a good range for a variety of basic applications. The built-in digital timer is a GREAT feature, tho. Being able to set a precise run time and have the unit shut off automatically is a huge convenience and ensures consistent results. 🔹 This is where i think this unit really finds its niche. It's perfect for a small, low-throughput lab, a high school or college science classroom, or even for hobbyist use. Honestly, given its realistic appearance and actual functionality, it would also make a fantastic and authentic-looking medical or science prop for a film or theatrical production. ***The Verdict*** This is a very capable and well-designed centrifuge for its intended audience. The sturdy build and the inclusion of a precise digital timer make it an excellent value. It performs its job well and is perfectly suited for educational or light-duty lab work. If you were to go to a lab supply store, you would likely pay 3-5x the cost of this for something extremely similar in design and function, which is to say this centrifuge is a tremendous value. The main thing to remember when loading a centrifuge is proper balance, so make certain your tubes are all filled to the exact same levels. You can even weigh them on a digital scale to be more precise. This ensures vibration-free operation. This centrifuge is extremely simple to operate, the menu button cycles through the RPM and time functions, and the up and down button adjusts each parameter. Hit the start/stop button to do exactly that, and the open button pops the lid. Piece of cake. It performs exactly the same as a centrifuge costing far more, and the quality is very good, especially at the price point. If you're looking to add some lab equipment but don't want to spend a bundle, this is a fine way to go. 5 stars.
