Made for two in the pinky, try it, you wont go back.
READ FIRST! The 11.75 in gloves come in the narrow fit size, which is in between the youth pro taper fit, and the standard fit. With that said, I tried on a 12.5in R9 with standard fit and couldn’t tell much difference. Rawlings gloves just seem to have a snug fingers but they do wear in. Also I have a medium sized hand with medium thickness fingers and found this glove to be a tight fit in terms of closing it. However my kid for some reason made me feel silly when they could close it, then it hit me! They had two in the pinky! I coach little league and two in the pinky (sometimes three even) is a known hack for kids, but look at your adult gloves…. The pinky is twice as wide as your other fingers! Then I looked it up and was shocked by how many pro MLB players ALL put two in the pinky! Well color me shocked! I put two in the pinky and it was night and day! With two in the pinky it closes properly and doesn’t give arthritis lol. I did some research and while makers will never advertise a glove as “two in the pinky” fit, most are making them with that in mind. Don’t believe me? Why is the pinky not only twice as wide, but contains a leather strap? The strap is there so if you do like one in each stall you can tighten it so your pinky isn’t swimming around. Had no idea so many pros play like that!
