Unsweetened Powdered Almond Butter, 8 Ounces

Got this to replace the powdered peanut butter - can no longer have peanuts. The two products are not quite the same. This is salt and sugar free - which is fine if you just want to add to a shake or on your oatmeal. But to mix for a PBJ it is a bit lacking in flavor and appearance. It looked more like paper mache and kind of tasted like it too lol. I have since added sweetner and some salt to what is left in my container (upon the advice of someone). Hoping that will help some. I will continue to use though for oatmeal and shakes if nothing else. I do love Barney products - esp the creamy almond butter- so yummy!!

I picked up this Almond Butter mainly because I like adding nut butters to smoothies, but the traditional creamy versions can be messy and harder to portion. This powdered version solves a lot of that. It mixes easily and gives you the almond flavor without dealing with oily jars or thick scoops of nut butter. Most of the time I use it in smoothies, and it blends in really well. It adds a nice almond richness and nutty flavor without making the drink overly heavy. One of the biggest benefits for me is that the saturated fat content is noticeably lower than typical almond or peanut butters, which is something I pay attention to when choosing ingredients I use regularly. Even with that reduction, the flavor still comes through well. Another thing I appreciate is how easy it is to control the texture. If you want something closer to traditional almond butter, you can mix it with a little water to create a spread. For smoothies or protein shakes, you can just add the powder directly, which makes it quick and clean compared to dealing with sticky nut butter spoons. It is easy to mix. Not as tasty as regular almond butter.

I used this to expose my daughters to allergens. It blends nicely with yogurt. It is not as flavor heavy as peanut powder but almonds aren’t strong in general.

I wish they made this in a larger container. I go through a jar every month and I'd probably use more or use it more often if it came in a larger size. This is perfect for smoothies. It blends up nicely. I find it best to mix it with water before adding it to my blender because clumps stick to the sides if I don't, but if I mix it with water first, no clumps

Not into the taste

I originally bought this to make Keto Chaffles so they would taste more like regular waffles without the overbearing eggy taste and the need to add all that cheese. 2 Tbls works great with 1 egg and 1tsp baking powder, salt and 1/2 oz heavy whipping cream cooked in a DASH waffle maker.

Product taste is blah! No taste- nothing! Maybe suggest only using in. Asked goods or shakes!

No sabe a crema de almendra en lo absoluto ! 😖

I expected a finer grind. The powder is too gritty. There are better brands.

I have repurchased it and will do it when I am running out of product. Love it!
