Arrived on time, works great, I've never heard of it before but I'm very thankful I found it thank you very much for making my life easier. My husband didn't believe that it would work but I proved it to him yesterday and he loved the ice cream I made with it. I highly recommend this product.

Got Salt?
This box came bigger than expected with no damage. Helped make the best homemade ice cream I've ever tasted, so great quality it is. They give me a chance to rate flavor on here but probably shouldn't cuz I'm pretty sure it says right on the box itself it isn't made for actual human consumption. When I made the ice cream I used it to just melt the ice around the container that held the ice cream. Otherwise good bang for the buck if you can't find it anywhere locally.

Good item but carelessly packaged
I bought this to make ice cream in a bag with my class. Having never made ice cream in a bag before, I thought special salt was needed to ignite the endothermic chemical reaction. I believe this product is counting on that because it is specifically labelled “ice cream salt.” In fact, this is plain old rock salt, and because of that, it is overpriced. Go to Bulk Barn to get rock salt aka “ice cream salt.” My only other complaint is that the product was poorly packaged and/or delivered. By the time it got to me, the top flap was ripped open, resulting in salt all over the inside of the delivery box. I was able to salvage and use it but I have had many issues, especially recently, with Amazon orders being damaged or destroyed during the packaging/delivery process.
