Color Changing Thermochromic Fabric Paint Body Heat Sensitive DIY Color Changing T-Shirts & Shoes Black-Colorless at 77F (25C)

A little goes a LOOONG way. This was great stuff to work with, easy to put on, very sharp dark color. The more layers of paint, the more grey when the color does change. Didn't work quite the way I wanted it to on the cook's aprons as I don't think they changed while they worked (which I don't get because that kitchen was easily over 100-degrees!) But it is still a really fun t-shirt feature. Also worked great for an escape room element- heated up with hand warmers really well

I wish there was more information on this item, or a quick video on how to use and not just videos of people who previously used it. I got the gist of it, but a more detailed explanation would’ve been helpful.

This product works as described but you have to know what you really want. I wanted something that would change right at body temperature. Figured 99 would work pretty good. Nope. Too much environmental effect. That was my mistake though. If you want it to change colors by touch you need to use one that transitions at a lower temperature.

Most of the thermochromic material (color changing with heat) I've gotten has been very similar, for all I know it all comes from the same factory. This is *31C (~88F)* color changing, meaning it will be black most of the time, but change to white (or clear, in liquid) under heat (body heat, hair dryer, etc). This is good for covering secret messages that reveal with heat. This is designed as a fabric paint for screenprinting. I didn't use it for that so can't report on that purpose. I was trying to use it as an alternative to powder for applying to paper without having to mix. It was okay, but so thick it had to be diluted (water was fine). I ended up preferring a proper thermochromic *ink* as made by Atlanta Chemical, but your mileage may vary (especially if you're using it for the intended purpose of fabric painting). It's also available in other temperature-thresholds (instead of 31C) and colors (instead of black-to-clear).

These company could really corner the market on this stuff. Amazing product and even better customer service!!

I love that I'm able to use this thermochromic fabric paint! Water based, so it's on the "thinner side". I would complain that the containers are so small and it's so expensive but, I can't find it being made by anyone else so I don't know how much of a demand there is for it. But I love using it!
