The Scalpel of Controllers - can wake Switch 2!
After using maybe a hundred controllers the past few years, I think this one is among the best if not the best option out there today. Update: on Silksong, HD rumble on the Huben 2 feels as good or better than HD rumble 2 on the switch 2 itself. Positives - It can wake the Switch 2. Huge plus. - Flawlessly centered sticks with pinpoint response. - Hair-trigger face buttons without play that require average pressure. - All four shoulder buttons have hair-triggers with minor to minimal play. - D-pad is sharp, nimble, tactile, and minimal play. - Gyro response is almost perfect; only a very small dead zone. - HD rumble Gen 1: Rare feature, few controllers still have it. - Rubberized grips - Grip shape is very close to Xbox Series S, which feels fantastic. Negatives - Triggers (L2/R2) with hair trigger mode off have minor to moderate dead zones at the start. - Not cheap, but worth it. - AB and XY are flipped for Nintendo (same as all 3rd-party controllers). - Face button resistance is not heavy at all, but I prefer them slightly lighter. - L3/R3 require average click pressure; I’d personally like a little lighter activation. - Wish it had the insanelt smooth sticks from the switch 2 pro controller but not a big deal and pie in the sky request. Switch 2 wake up Nintendo seems to be using a rolling code system (similar to garage door openers), and the Huben 2 somehow reads a sequence from a Joy-Con. However it’s done, it’s brilliant and a major quality-of-life feature. It does require you to connect the controller to a phone and update the firmware which takes just a minute. Comparison to Other Controllers Flydigi Vader 4 Pro: My previous go-to. Its flaws: slippery grips, awkwardly square grip shape, and a good D-pad but way too much play, good face buttons but again too much play. The Huben 2 solves all of those while improving trigger and button dead zones not to mention much better rumble. The Vader 4 Pro is still very good, but the Huben 2 is excellent. Both feel like surgical instruments, but the Huben 2’s D-pad is unmatched. Switch 2 Pro Controller: Smoothest sticks ever, but ruined by squishy and inaccurate buttons, stiff L3/R3 clicks, and a ridiculously small grip size (like it was built for a 3-year-old). HD Rumble 2 is nice, but losing it is negligible since Huben 2 still has Gen 1 HD rumble. Razer Wolverine V2 has similar feel and features but looser D-pad, wobbly face buttons, no HD rumble, doesn't work on Nintendo and is over $200! The Wolverine V3 is really more comparable to cheaper controllers (Flydigi Vader 3 non-pro, Vader 4, easy SMX D10, etc.). Price vs value: After testing as many controllers as I have, the value feels absurdly good considering how close to ideal this one is. It's cheaper than the switch 2 pro. Review Complaints (as of Aug 26, 2025) One review claims it’s uncomfortable due to “too small at the top.” Not sure what “top” even means. Another said uncomfortable due to some rough feature on the casing but I couldn't pin point from ware and haven't had this issue. Another said 'it’s too big', but its grips are actually smaller than Flydigi, EasySMX, Gamesir and other brands. The main difference is that the Huben 2 is slightly wider, with grips set further apart. Hard to see that being an issue for anyone. Compared to the tiny Switch 2 Pro controller, the Huben 2 is larger, more ergonomic, and more comfortable overall. If you have tiny hands, the Switch 2 Pro Controller is for you. The Huben 2 and the X box Series S controller is essentially the same size. As of Aug 27, 2025 I don't expect complaints brought up by other reviews here will lead to common issues.

Great upgrade from the ChiTu! The new dpad is great! But it's too bulky for small hands
I love the Mobapad ChiTu and M6 for playing on the Switch, so I immediately got this controller after hearing that they fixed the dpad - and they did! It now works perfectly and it's great for intense 2d games like Street Fighter or Puyo Tetris. It's so good, I wish they sold the fixed dpad internals for it so I could install it into the old Mobapad ChiTu and M6 joycon! Other improvements compared to the ChiTu: - the R2/L2 buttons now have a switch to change them from analog trigger to digital button, which is great if you want analog triggers for racing games or digital buttons for every other game - there's two more back buttons, making for 4 in total. Unlike how the ChiTu has back buttons on the base of the controller, this one adds 2 more along the grips, making it more comfortable and natural to press. - analog sticks are more accurate thanks to a new technology? I don't play FPS games or things that need sensitive analog stick use so I can't really tell though - it still has great mouse keyswitches for all the face buttons/triggers/dpad just like on the ChiTu/M6 Things I don't like: - the front plate, that is now removable (so you can swap the analog sticks, I think?), is glossy and a fingerprint magnet. It took a while to get used to the smooth feel of it compared to the matte texture of the ChiTu and M6, but I eventually did. I'm still not a fan of the gloss feel though. - the button layout is Xbox but it's primarily a Switch and PC controller. Why? There's no way to change the buttons out either to reflect a Switch layout - it's heavy. There's extra weights inside the controller just to make it heavy for no reason. - doesn't wake the Switch 2 (but no controller does right now except the Gulikit Elves II, or so I hear) However, the main reason I don't like it over the ChiTu and why I'm returning the controller is because it's too big now and it's uncomfortable to use the analog sticks. I have small hands and the Huben 2 is just slightly thicker, front-to-back, making the thumb distance to reach the analog sticks feel taller and stressful for long playing. I actually went back to using the ChiTu, despite the terrible dpad, just because it's more comfortable to hold and use in comparison. This is only a problem for people with small hands like me. It's not a unique problem either; most modern controllers like the PS5, all Xbox generations, Nintendo Switch Pro, 8bitdo Pro controllers, Gulikit, etc. they're all weirdly designed around thicker controllers or wide grips that make the analog stick slightly stressful to reach. The Mobapad ChiTu was the only modern controller I found that was comfortable so I'm very disappointed that the Huben 2 betrayed my expectations. I think this could even be solved if there were optional analog sticks that had lower bases so my thumbs could reach it better. Anyway, it's a great controller if you have normal sized hands and don't mind heavy controllers with glossy face plates that are fingerprint smudge magnets. The new dpad alone is worth it!

Poor implementation
Not worth the price. MobaPad's N1HD was a much better ergonomic design because when you gripped the controller, the weight was distributed correctly. In the Huben2, the top of the controller is too narrow, resulting in the hump on both sides digging into the sides of both fingers, causing painful friction and callouses within less than 15 min of usage. Also, what's the point of having a removable magnetic front plate if you don't allow for ABXY button swap? This is marketed a Switch controller but layout is x-box format. And if you go through the hassle of opening up the entire controller, the plastic ABXY button legends are cut uniquely so that you can't even swap it. It would have taken zero effort to make the buttons cross compatible. The see-through plastic finish of the magnetic front plate tracks fingerprints easily. And 2 of the four assignable back buttons are in an awkward place and should have just been removed since they are so difficult to press. What does seem to have been improved is the manual switch that enables the clicky short trigger. In previous models the manual short trigger would break very easily, but it does seem to be have been replaced with an actual clicky trigger instead of flimsy plastic travel stopper. The true HD Rumble and mobile app are as always very very good (which is the main reason to buy Mobapad products). Hopefully they fix all of these issues for Huben3.

Hidden gem one of the best controllers I’ve ever used
I’ve had this controller for a good bit now and can say it’s one of the best I’ve used. the Xbox elite 2, tons of gamesir controllers, and flydigi even the expensive 200$ ones. These have the BEST joysticks it’s not even close lol.(even though stick tension is a tad higher than average) I think it’s definitely worth the value for anyone who plays pc or switch. The buttons are responsive and again the best mouse click responsiveness I’ve ever gotten on a controller feels like a mouse click on every one of them. Paddles have phenomenal placement as well super comfy and adjustable however your grip is on the controller. Mobapad absolutely cooked with this build i would keep buying

Great feel, Macro issues..
Controller feels nice and sturdy. Price was okay. The click of the buttons and triggers felt nice. Didn't like the inaccuracy of the Macro programming.

Pretty in Pink!!
Such a phenomenal controller, perfect size and it does wake up my NS2! I grabbed the color, hot pink and never thought twice. Comfortable and fun 2 use. Feels great, pretty price~y though. Comes with everything you need also. The controller has a magnetic glossy pink cover plate!

With a case? 79.99 sealed purchase. Pink looks great in person isn’t all glossy.
For 79.99 Omron buttons, 12 bit Capacitive sticks , who some say is better than TMR. Without a case I may have passed, but I wanted to try the sticks and love omron switches and Mobapad put liquid silicone on top of the omron face buttons. Omron D pad, analog Hall effect triggers with micro switch. And solid hard case. 79.99 I decided to risk it. But Mobapad , Gulikit, GameSir, FlyDigi, Machenike etc. are really proving 3rd party might always be better option. 9/23/25 Update Sticks might be better than TMR. Vibration is nice but isn’t rumble , d pad and face buttons r perfect, 290g, great weight, works with dongle on XB3. Back buttons r nice u don’t always need to use them, case is really great, I got white one and just got the pink, it’s sick. Rumble isn’t going to be deep, Mobapad hopefully will make better rumble. But great stuff as usual. Worth 79.99. All colors r sick in person, it’s not all shiny when u play. Omron with liquid silicone, face buttons feel like they will last forever, but back buttons r there when you need it, no trigger vibration, but sticks and omron make this a must have for controller collectors, cuz you will wanna use this again.

Great controller with a couple caveats
The Huben 2 is a solid controller. The build construction feels solid. The capacitive sticks are incredible and very, very accurate. All buttons are mechanical and feel exceptional. The digital trigger stops are on par with what I consider the best available (the Vader 4 Pro) Plus the look is fairly unique compared to other 3rd party controls that are out. The mechanical D-pad I was going to expect to be sub-par. I typically prefer membrane d-pads, but this mechanical d-pad feels great. It's responsive, easy to hit diagonals, dish or cross style, and satisfying feeling. Worked very well on Street Fighter 4, and KOF. So A+ there. I love using this guy. The negatives The triggers have a significant dead zone at the begging of the pull, and can't be fixed via firmware due it being a issue with the construction itself. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it is somewhat noticeable. I mainly use the hair trigger stops as this is a very, very good controller for shooters. Second issue. So far the battery doesn't have a very long charge. Maybe 4 - 6 hours before being plugged in via cable. All that said. I recommend this controller as one of the absolute best for shooters. If you even think about adjusting your aim it feels like all you have to do is think about the minor adjustment. Just feels incredibly natural. I wish it came with a dock at this price, but I do not regret the purchase at all.
