I previously bought one of those hand held devices that is supposed to tell you whether these products work or not - a total waste of time and money. Enter this handy device which is extremely easy to use. Simply connect to your wall plug and lay it on your grounding bedding, mats, etc. I discovered that one wall plug doesn't work with this device and tested everything, happy to discover everything works. This tester needs 2 AAA batteries. Buy with confidence!

Works great. Less expensive than other models but just as effective.

When you are using grounding mats you are never really sure if they are functioning properly. I had previously tested mine and some friends using a voltage meter awkwardly, and yes that does work but if you do not have much voltage in the body at a given time it is hard to show up on some voltage tested. This is easy peasy. Not sure what they mean by a Safe-t-plug splitter....all you need to do is connect the probe from the unit into a ground, have your mat also plugged into a ground (could be from a different outlet) and put the sensor on the mat. If it is working the green light comes on, you can also unlpug your mat for a further test...if it is working properly the light will then go out.
