These are perfect for their intended purpose. They're about 12" long and 2" wide so won't cut circulation off like thinner items doing the same job. Velcro holds very well. Thin cloth is adhered to both sides, so if for some reason you need to use these touching your skin they'll be somewhat "reasonably" comfortable and not feel like a big "rubber" band. Although that's not what they're intended for, I'm sure they could work depending on your application needs. I bought two pair. One for fishing waders, general-use knee-high rubber boots, and winter boots etc. The other pair to keep handy in the saddle bags on my motorcycle to keep pants from flapping in-the-wind on long highway rides, making your legs uncomfortable or numb from the beating you can get jamming at highway speeds all day on long runs. And for those occasional cold nights to keep wind (or rain) from blowing up my pant legs as needed. Bicyclists will like these as well to keep pant legs out of or off the chain and shifter mechanism, or simply rubbing on the crank arm as your pedaling which can be annoying and/or get them dirty. Use your imagination as the list goes on and one could think of "many uses" for these. Each pair comes in a clear thin sealed plastic bag like t-shirts etc come in that you'll have to tear or cut open. For veteran brothers and sisters out there, these could be used to blouse very long pant legs if needed. I doubt they'd work for utility-pants/camo's because they're so wide, but I could be wrong. Been too many years since I was active duty. Anyway, these are worth their weight in gold when needed. A great investment to solve various problems. Enjoy!

Works good however small, has limited room with bulky pants.

I have bought straps before that were thinner and very elastic. After a few months of use, they would stretch out and not work as well. These straps are wider and thicker and seem like they should hold up better. They are comfortable and don't restrict the blood flow in my legs like the others did. I find them comfortable and easy to put on and take off. The Velcro fastener stays firmly connected until I want to remove the straps. On the other straps that I have used, the fastener would slip or come loose altogether. The straps would then slide down or fall off. I have not experienced any such issues with these straps.

These are very handy and get a lot of use out in the country on a regular basis. Can keep cuffs from getting caught on ‘things’ when when working, more importantly it keeps THINGS from crawling up your pant legs.

These are a bit large and bulky, so they don't fit well inside my boots. The velcro is so strong, it's a bit hard to open and close them. These are great for men and their loose work boots, but I need a lady version of them for my tighter boots.

How many times have you had to do a stomping line dance after you put your chest waders on to get your pants un bunched? These gators will keep the ride up to a minimum and you can listen to boot scooting boogie because you want to not because your britches are riding too high.
