A Symphony of Flavor in Every Drop
Kishibori Shoyu has elevated my culinary experiences with its exceptional quality and depth of flavor. This premium artisanal Japanese soy sauce truly deserves high praise. The first thing to note is the complexity of its flavor profile. Unlike regular soy sauces, Kishibori Shoyu offers a symphony of tastes – it's not just salty but also carries subtle hints of umami, a slight sweetness, and a deep richness that can only be found in meticulously crafted sauces. Each drop enhances the dish, whether it's used in marinades, as a dipping sauce, or simply drizzled over rice. The aroma of Kishibori Shoyu is another aspect that sets it apart. It has a distinct, inviting scent that heightens the anticipation of the meal. This soy sauce doesn't overpower; it complements and elevates the flavors of various ingredients, making it a versatile addition to any kitchen. I appreciate the commitment to traditional brewing methods, which is evident in the quality of the product. The soy sauce is fermented and aged in barrels, a process that contributes to its unique taste and quality. Knowing that such care and tradition go into making this soy sauce adds an element of specialness to every use. Moreover, its all-natural ingredients and no additives make it a healthier choice. It's a product that tastes good and aligns with a health-conscious lifestyle. TL;DR: Kishibori Shoyu is a premium, artisanal Japanese soy sauce that transforms ordinary dishes into extraordinary culinary creations. Its complex flavor, aromatic profile, and traditional brewing methods make it a must-have for anyone looking to add a touch of gourmet to their cooking.

This is the "real" soy sauce you're hoping for
Any argument anybody has about this soy sauce would be simple preference- as this is most certainly the "good stuff" - and nobody would argue that. There ARE different styles but for a good general versatile soy sauce that you want to be able to add to dishes without any odd tastes or it being the "wrong thing" especially for japanese cooking (Note: there are diff types of soy sauce so make sure this is the style your recipe is calling for) this is going to give you the flavor "as intended". A very good sauce overall. You pay for it but I mean... have you seen prices IN GENERAL recently? Its worth the money if you care.

This is the only soy sauce that I want to use at home
What else can be said about this brand that hasn't been said here, this is a premium quality soy sauce. I was looking for a traditional Japanese soy sauce when I found this one. I didn't want one that were brewed in the US as there are just some things that I feel need to be traditionally made. And I don't mind paying extra for those types of things. I thoroughly enjoy the taste and use it just about every day. It's got a great Umami flavor slightly with mushrooms and I just absolutely love it.

Worth every penny!
After watching a YouTube video detailing how soy sauce is traditionally made, I bought this to see the difference between your everyday kikoman soy sauce and artisanal soy sauces. This does not have preservatives and is a rather large bottle, so if you don't use soy sauce very often, I wouldn't recommend it. However, for people like me who go through A LOT, this is perfect! This soy sauce is great. It is a total umami bomb that isn't nearly as salty as other soy sauces that you see used in restaurants and at your local grocery store. The flavor reminds me a little of fish sauce, but that's what you get from the natural fermentation process. I use this a lot whenever I have sushi or when I want to make teriyaki sauce. There is a huge difference, and I'm glad that I bought this. Worth every penny!

Soy Sauce for Sophisticated Palates
Anyone who compares this soy sauce to Kikkoman (even though it is a Japanese company), probably only eats at Panda Express and Burger King, so their taste buds can't appreciate something of a higher quality. If those are your restaurants of choice, then this will be a waste of money for you. However, anyone with a more sophisticated palate will definitely enjoy the distinct flavor of this lovely Japanese soy sauce over a more ordinary soy sauce. To me a Chinese soy sauce is much more salty than a Japanese soy sauce. Chinese soy sauce is made with 100% soy while Japanese soy sauce is 50% soy and 50% wheat, which gives it such a unique flavor when it comes to soy sauces. This definitely has a different flavor than the soy sauces you get at a Chinese restaurant, and as soon as I tasted it, it brought me back to some of the amazing Japanese restaurants I have enjoyed over the years. This soy sauce is worth the money and has a beautiful flavor that is perfect for all your high quality dishes. My family loves it, but now I will be asked to make more dumplings than usual because this soy sauce tastes so wonderful!

Very good!
Good for all oriental food dipping. Since I have experienced of running down the street with an empty bottle to buy soy source when I was little, so this one is not good enough.

A little inky luxury
You could get the regular stuff, but you're here. We all know you're looking for the good stuff. Congrats! You're in the right place. So velvety, richly flavored — flavored, not just salt water — and such a pleasant texture to accompany any fine Asian cuisine. Excellent with sushi, which we make at home. Tastes like we're having $100 rolls!

毎日使う基本的な調味料だからこそ、しっかりした味と香りのものを選びたい。これがあれば刺身も煮物も大満足。余談ですが、実は煮物にはこれと九重櫻本みりんがあれば、鬼に金棒です。

Lovely soy sauce with actual complexity to it, unlike commercial cooking soy sauce.
