Fun machine to learn about CNC
Arrived quickly, well packaged and worked perfectly right out of the box. I have been having a great time learning and making parts. I have been using Fusion for CAD and CAM software. Also using DeskProto for CAM software for 4th axis projects. I look forward to seeing the software that Makera is coming out with in the future.

Impressive for a desktop mill
So far it's incredible, aluminum capable out of the box and cuts to pretty good tolerance.

Good hardware, everything else needs work.
Not as intuitive as described, very limited and buggy software, and buy extra bits because they will take forever to get to you, and you will break them alot. But the hardware is great.

What a great Desktop CNC!
THIS thing is awesome. I could write a lengthy review of the Carvera Air here, but anyone looking here has likely gotten all the info they need from the manufacture's website. As a Prime member, I ordered through Amazon and got it with free shipping and no drama, as expected. Happy CNCing!

Very nice machine
I've found it tricky to use so far. I needed to thoroughly read the documentation and explore many videos. I was getting many emergency stop errors. I did not realize that the switch, once activated, doesn't come back up by itself. I must say I needed to thoroughly read the documentation. It is not a simple machine, and it has an extraordinary number of capabilities many of which are rather complex. The accuracy is phenomenal! It does many things automatically reducing the cumbersome problem of programming. I'm used to doing many things manually where it does this automatically. One just needs to be patient and study all the documentation. I was able to use FreeCAD to generate files or drawings which it can import. Then, I program the tool paths. It is great!
