Excellent Quality and Support
This is one of those easy purchases that you almost completely forget about, because it's so trouble free. But the real value is in the wearing. I had sprained my ankle pretty badly playing soccer and was almost reluctant to get back out on the pitch. The AirCast A60 was recommended to me by my physical therapist. I ordered it from Amazon just two days prior to game day, and it arrived in time. I took it out of the box on my way to field and put it on just before the match started. It went on easily, but did make my boot feel a bit snug. I instantly felt the extra support that my freshly recovered ankle needed. Just a minute into the match I found myself running full tilt, and realized how well it was doing its job. This brace is so light that I only knew that I had it on because I was conscious that it gave me as much moral support as ankle support. After a couple of weeks back on the team I'm considering not wearing it anymore because my ankle is feeling pretty good. But, this brace is so unobtrusive, I think I'll keep the moral support for another week or two. I certainly recommend the AirCast A60 as a great buy.

Good ankle support, but size does matter
One of the better support items for ankles - but not without issues. I wear a 6 1/2 shoe, so I purchased the size Small according to the sizing chart. This was after a broke my ankle (lower fibula) and even though it was healed, there was still a bit of swelling. The Aircast arrived and I tried it out and it's very comfortable, and gives a good deal of support (because of the stiff sides). At the same time this brace is also very bendable front-to-back, letting you flex your foot and walk properly. It's nice, but after wearing it a couple of hours on the 2nd day I found my foot feeling fatigued. I think this is due to the brace being slightly too tight and sits too low, making my shoe not slide on properly. I looked at the Aircast website, and watched a couple of Youtube videos on how this thing should fit and what people had to say. I think I should have ordered a medium, for a couple of reasons: 1) Since my foot and ankle are still slightly swollen, my shoes size is most likely larger than normal. 2). Because my foot is slightly swollen, the part that goes under my arch is a bit too small, making the hard places on the brace go down a bit too low. Since a 6 1/2 is right at the top of the size 1 sizing chart, Medium would have been a better choice for me for that foot. Because I still need side support for outdoor activities, I am going to try purchasing the Medium. I am not returning the small, as I think eventually that one might work later when things are back to normal (if that ever happens). Once I get the Medium, I will append my review here and update the stars as needed.

Would not buy this again
Solid material, very well put together, seems to be very good quality. What I really like is that it does not add a lot of bulk to your foot, so you still fit into your shoes. What I am not so sure about is how much it actually protects. I got it because I severely rolled my ankle on a hike and I bought this to protect my ankle from further damage. So far I have not rolled my ankle but it does not feel like it really restricts movement unless you tighten it up a LOT, which in itself makes it hurt. Hard to find a tightness that feels like it protects the ankle that still leaves enough room to hike around. I use it all the time, and it FEELS like a lot of added protection, but I can only know for sure if I roll my ankle again. Will come back for an update if/when that happens. Update 12/27/2021 - I did indeed roll my ankle again while wearing this, and it gave no protection at all. It FEELS like it does because your foot is in a tight cocoon, but it is a false sense of security. It does not immobilize the ankle enough to prevent rolling again. Waste of money in my opinion

Great for athletes!!!
These work great for my daughter. She’s a three sport athlete and if very very picky when it comes to ankle braces. She has sensitive arches so it has to feel as if she’s wearing nothing. She loves these braces, she uses them for Volleyball & Basketball. They’re comfortable & light weight yet give her great support. She’s rolled ankles many time & even broken an ankle so we don’t do anything without braces these days. I highly recommend these for athletes who are looking for something comfortable without the bulk!!!

Just dind't fit propperly.
I purchased this because I keep spraining my ankle. I am fairly active so I have larger calves. I normally wear a women's 8.5-9 shoe, so i ordered a medium. This brace just didn't fit right. The support under the foot was too far back and wasn't comfortable. The Velcro strap above the ankle was a tight fit, I didn't feel like I was getting good closure until I used the strap that goes around. I'm thinking the brace was too big however I was afraid to purchase the smaller brace because I didn't think I could close the top part due to the size of my calf. I needed this for everyday use in Dansko shoes. I think they would work if you get the proper fit because the bottom half of the brace is pretty streamlined. I only gave it 3 stars due to the sizing factor, I could still turn my ankle with this on. I'm trying the Aircast Sport (sm) hoping it has a better fit.

Highly recommended
I am 70 years old and have serious back issues that cause me to have limited walking mobility. Walking is not fun. Recently I was fitted with orthotic leg braces that help significantly with this. I had hoped they would also help me with biking too as I ride my mountain bike regularly, around 30 miles per week but unfortunately, with their flat piece design along the bottom, the orthotic braces made biking very difficult, instead of better. I did some further investigation and discovered these a few months ago; The Aircast A60 Ankle Support Brace. I bought two and quickly realized they were perfect for biking and improved my riding dramatically. My ankles never try to “roll” outward and I am much sure footed. I also use these for yardwork including cleaning rain gutters on a ladder. I highly recommend the Aircast A60 Ankle Support Brace, and will buy them again as they wear out. Be patient as you become familiar with these. No disappointments. The only downside for me was having to buy a left and a right brace from two separate venders.

After trying six different ankle braces this is the one which works for me !
I love this ankle support! Of the five different ankle supports I've tried this is my favorite. With partial paralysis in one leg and foot I had trouble finding a support brace that would keep my ankle from rolling but still allow me to raise my foot up. A molded cast type brace, an Arizona Brace, which was made for me but it was too restrictive. This Aircast A60 Ankle Support Brace is much more comfortable than the Bauerfeind Malleoloc, which worked for me but was difficult for me to put on ( there are rods in my spine so I don't bend much). The Aircast A60 goes on like a sock (albeit it does require a bit more tugging, especially at first) and I can fasten the Velcro straps myself. Such wonderful independence to not need help! The other ankle supports I've tried are; a simple black elastic Velcro attached ace bandage sort of thing, Aircast Air Stirrup Universe, and a Mueller Lite Ankle Brace. These just let my ankle slip around in them or didn't offer enough rigidity. A McDavid Ankle Brace with strap which laced up did not give enough support either. The Bauerfeind Malleloc held my ankle very rigid but was bulkier and impossible for me to put on by myself. Even though one of the reviews for the Aircast A60 said it wears out quickly I figure I can buy five of them for the cost of one Bauerfeind Malleloc. Plus the Aircast A60 is much more comfortable and easier to put on. The first few times you put the Aircast A60 on it is tight and a little difficult, plus the Velcro is VERY aggressive and someone else had to help me get out of it the first time. But it soon 'works in' and comes on and off without too much effort. I'm very grateful to have found this Aircast A60 solution to my particular needs.

Ottimo supporto dopo distorsione caviglia
