After trying it a few times, I can say it’s definitely not real ceremonial grade. The colour is more yellow-green than the bright jade you usually see, the texture is a bit coarse, and it has a slight bitterness you wouldn’t get from true ceremonial matcha. But to be fair, it’s still a really nice everyday matcha. It tastes good in lattes, mixes well, and the price is great for what it is. Just don’t expect genuine ceremonial quality, it’s more of a solid daily matcha rather than the top-tier stuff.

This matcha feels like the real deal. It’s very finely ground, which gives it a great colour and smooth taste, but also makes it quite dusty, you need to be careful when opening or closing the pack. If you add too much, some powder can settle at the bottom. Aside from that, the flavour is rich and compares well to other ceremonial matcha's I’ve tried - especially those not specifically marked from as from Japan.
