Vinyl LP pressing. 2018 release, the sophomore studio album from singer/songwriter and producer Charlie Puth. Includes the tracks "Attention", "How Long", "If You Leave Me Now", "Done for Me" (featuring Kehlani) and "Change" (featuring James Taylor. Charli Puth's initial exposure came through the viral success of his song videos uploaded to YouTube. Review: Great Album! - This Voicenotes vinyl is awesome! The sound quality is rich and clear, and the record feels solid and well‑made. It spins smoothly with no warping, and having the digital download included was a nice bonus. Whether you’re a Charlie Puth fan or just love good vinyl, this record exceeded my expectations! 🎶✨ Review: Extremely Impressive Sophomore Effort - I had heard a couple of tracks from Voicenotes on the radio and was favorably impressed. I was impressed enough that I sought out more tracks online, and subsequently bought the whole album. I'm glad I did because Charlie Puth is quite a talent. Over and the above the radio airplay tracks, the album has a lot to offer, and I'll try to touch on those elements. The a cappella track featuring Boyz to Men, If You Leave Me Now, is extremely well done in terms of its rich harmonies and vocal stylings. There are also tracks that are more mainstream Pop, like Empty Cups and Slow It Down, that seem like wholly radio-ready, mid-tempo hits. The track that caught my attention immediately, however, was BOY. It's seemingly a song about a past romance with an older woman. The song has lyrical and thematic depth that is belied by Charlie's youth, and that depth is offset by melodic height in the form of Puth's stratospheric falsetto agility in the chorus. While his falsetto is excellent and on display throughout Voicenotes, he is not a one-trick pony. There are songs, like a collaboration with James Taylor called Change, where the warmth of Taylor's voice blends seamlessly with Puth's. While the sentiment of the song may be simple and without James Taylor it might be too saccharine, it works as part of the album. Most of all, this album shows that Puth is versatile. There are some songs with a current Pop sound, but others that exude the feel of traditional R&B, and still others that evoke the vibe of 80s or 90s tunes. For me, Voicenotes is the most impressive album I've heard from a young artist in 2018. I now need to buy Puth's first album to see if the vocal and songwriting chops that are showcased on Voicenotes were preceded by an equally impressive debut.

Love Charlie Puth
This cd is simply amazing with great tracks and vocals from a very talented singer/songwriter. I am a 57 year old man and it has been a long time since I have seen such a true talent in the younger generation. it is so unexpected and refreshing to see someone so humble with such a gift. First impression is this guy can indeed sing with a very impressive range plus he sings with raw emotion. He wears his heart on his sleeve. I only got his first cd a while ago so having this second one come so fast is a gift for me. He has written every track here and the industry sees him as so talented and impressive that Boyz II Men and James Taylor join him for mesmerizing duets on IF YOU LEAVE ME NOW and CHANGE (one of my favorite tracks). Other standouts are THE WAY I AM, ATTENTION, SLOW IT DOWN, SOMEBODY TOLD ME and the final outstanding ballad THROUGH IT ALL. Charlie Puth is the real deal and I can't wait to watch his creative juices grow even more and more. Can't recommend this cd enough. Great songs and a true talent.

~* 'Voicenotes' Confirms Puth is No One-Hit Wonder!
Talented Berklee College of Music graduate Charlie Puth comes into his own on his sophomore release 'Voicenotes'. It is undoubtedly inspired by breezy 80s R&B music with songs that are drenched in that signature Puth falsetto. (Don't you think of Hall & Oates when you hear "Slow It Down"? How can the guitar plucks at the beginning of "The Way I Am" not remind you of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal"?) Many singers feature duets with current "hot" artists on their albums as gimmicks and marketing ploys. That's not the case here. Like fine wine, Charlie's voice pairs well with talents of Kehlani, Boyz II Men, and James Taylor on duets that feel inspired and fit the theme of the album perfectly. The entire album is outstanding, but my favorite five songs right now are: "BOY", "Somebody Told Me", "Done For Me", "If You Leave Me Now" and "Slow It Down". I'm sure that will change as I listen more to the album. Laid back enough to give you a mellow but energetic enough to make you sway, 'Voicenotes' confirms that Charlie Puth is no one-hit wonder. 5 stars ***** and highly recommended!

One of the best CD's I've heard for a very long time! Not a single disappointing cut!
I haven't been interested in much of the newer music for a long time (I like it musical and with understandable actual singing real lyrics)...this was an excellent return to what I call singing!! His voice and the harmonies are rich and yet "silky" too. I happened to see his performance on tv and couldn't wait to buy the cd based on just "Done for Me". The rest of the cd did not disappoint either. Many of these cuts did exactly for me what I want most from music (I am music), makes me want to dance. in fact, I can't not dance to it highly recommend! btw; goes back quite a few years, but there was a group called "Johnny Hates Jazz" whose sound was similar. If you like this one, you might check 'em out) I'm still not tired of listening. I can tell this one will be another modern fav!

9."Slow It Down" 、Boyz II Men とのアカペラで仕上げた 7."If You Leave Me Now"、James Taylor
