Does the job, no complaints, currently using in home made sugar body scrubs.

I’ve tried skipping preservatives in my homemade stuff before and let’s just say... I learned real quick that water + time = weird smells and slime. So now I don’t mess around. I use this in anything I make that involves water, like my whipped lotions and little soap experiments, and it’s been doing what it’s supposed to do without giving me a hard time. I usually measure it out with a syringe since I’m always trying to eyeball things and this makes it a lot less chaotic. So far, everything’s stayed fresh and nothing’s gone funky on me. It plays nice in my recipes, and I don’t notice any weird smells or textures. It came in a good-sized bottle too, which matters when I’m making stuff in batches. I use around 1% depending on what I’m mixing up and it stretches pretty far. Definitely makes the whole process feel more reliable.

Does a good job for what I use it for which is rice water hair strengthener that I do homemade you don’t need much either so the bottle goes along way

This Optiphen Plus Preservative is great for making my DIY lotions and sugar scrubs. I only make small batches at a time, and use them up within a couple of months. This preservative is easy to use, usually at 0.5% of a recipe, and it is easy to incorporate. I'm sure it will work for many recipes, there's enough to make quite a bit, and it makes me feel like my homemade products are safer to use. Recommended!

This is a good preservative as it helps to slightly lower pH, can be used in hot concoctions also.
