Frustrating and fulfilling three hours of work
I actually was eyeing the marble run first, but since I haven’t done any from this brand before, I figure I should start with something simpler. This is a very well thought out 3D puzzle, and the finished product looks exquisite. My problem is really with how hard it is to get some of the pieces in place. I mean I have very little grip strength, so the later steps where you have to wiggle and force a piece in place was very difficult. And the wooden pieces aren’t strong enough to withstand some hammering. Luckily, with the help of my 8 yr old toy hammer and my trusty tweezer, I manage to softly bang some of the edge in without damaging the wood too much. The instruction isn’t exactly crystal clear, took me a page or two in before realizing pieces with + sign next to them are extra pieces. And I was kind of hoping my lego/puzzle savvy 8 yr old could have enjoyed this project with me. Nope, he might be able to follow the instructions, but to build this thing, a child needs to be pretty advanced in manual dexterity. Anyway, it took me about 2-3 hours, mostly trying to figure out how to bang/wiggle things into place. There were a lot of doubts as to if the finished project would actually work or not. It did, and frustration aside, I am impressed with the design. Definitely worth it if you enjoy building this kind of puzzle. Now I am thinking about getting multiple others to build and gift, since you can hide trinket in there.

Engaging and Satisfying Build
This puzzle box is a fun and rewarding DIY project. The pieces fit together well, and the assembly process is detailed but not frustrating. The instructions are clear, making it enjoyable to follow along and see the mechanics come together. Completing it feels like an accomplishment, and the moving parts work smoothly when assembled correctly. What I Like: • Challenging but fun – The right balance of complexity to keep it interesting. • Well-fitting pieces – Everything snaps together securely without needing glue. • Clear instructions – Easy to follow without getting stuck.

Fun project
I got this for Christmas. It’s a fun piece of puzzle to put together. May not be fun for all kids because some parts are delicate. Some parts broke coming off the stencils. Thankfully they knew which parts they needed to provide extras of. You have to be careful with the knob dial. Once you put it together do not pull it. It will result in one of the parts coming off and you’d have to take it apart to fix it. Must follow the instructions step by step especially the part about setting your code for the lock. I had to take it apart a few times because some parts fell off inside because they weren’t completely lodged together or my little one pulled the knob… The edges where the piece lock together can break or chip as you see in my photo. So sad… I would still buy their other products though. I love puzzles and this was a fun one.

Great customer service! Great product!
The treasure box is very interesting, and works great! The instructions are clear, and well written, I had very little problems with assembly. I will note that you will need some type of heat source for the construction, because several times during building I was required to calibrate some parts with wax (which is provided in the kit). The only complaint I have about the product is that, like some others have said in their reviews, SOME OF THE WOODEN PARTS ARE VERY DELICATE, AND SHOULD BE HANDLED WITH CARE. While building the treasure box, an important piece of the lock broke, and I couldn't fix it. So I contacted the company, and they were very kind. I told them about the broken pieces, and they nicely shipped me a completely new kit to replace the last one. It arrived within a week, and was in perfectly good condition. I finished construction without any major issues, and now it is sitting in my room, storing some of my things.

What’s in the box?
Great fun, even for adults. Gifted it to an engineer and they loved it!

How the ROKR treasure box works
I really liked building the ROKR treasure box. When I first started building I forgot to sandpaper and wax some parts. The wheel didn’t spin well and broke off. I could easily order the broken parts with ROKR again. My mom helped me to rebuild the first part and I finished it up by myself. The box works so great now! I am very proud of myself building it and I love that it is all made out of wood! I took this video because I wanted to show what a great gift this ROKR treasure box is for kids! Sophie, 9 years

The pieces are super fragile but they aren’t cut perfectly to where they fit together perfectly. So you have to apply some force to get pieces to go together and then the fragile pieces break. I got it together in the end and then the lock broke off. It took a long time and there were some parts that didn’t fit together well. It’s not that it was difficult it’s just that the holes aren’t perfect size and cause wood to split. I really wanted to love this. We would buy a lot of these if they worked well.

The instructions are easy to follow, and it's relatively easy to build. There are extras of some of the more fragile pieces which is great, as I broke one of the small pins trying to assemble it. Don't skip on waxing the parts where it says to, otherwise the gears may not turn nicely. It took a few hours to build, and would be a great way to spend a rainy or snowy afternoon indoors!

My 16 year old loves this gift! It is a bit tedious and during assembly, the pieces have come apart, hence he used carpenter glue to assist the build. He loves it though, and is intrigued that there is a combination lock for it. A great gift!

When it’s time to test the combination. What a thrill when it works! It was a fun build, which I had completed for my granddaughter who is 12. Her brother, who is 8, tried to open the locked box when no one was around, and ripped off the top breaking it. Guess he earned his parents’ attention for that. I bought and built another one for her. Besides this cat, the other ones I’ve enjoyed are the musical cello, the piano and the tilt a whirl.
