I bought two of these 18" monitors to use while traveling (by car), since I don’t like working from just my 15.6" laptop screen. These were a great solution! They’re very easy to set up: just connect via USB-C and you’re good to go. To be able to use two at once, I also bought an adapter. The weight is light enough for travel but still feels sturdy and well made. I was really impressed with the picture quality: sharp, bright, and clear. The sound is decent for a portable monitor, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I’m very satisfied. They perform exactly as I hoped, and even though they’re a bit pricey, I think the quality makes them worth the investment.

Great picture and brightness. Generous screen size while still also very portable. It might be more expensive than some other options on here, but you get what you pay for. Unsurprisingly, the speakers are not great; not much you can do with a thin screen like this. It also comes with everything you need right out of the box, even for M series MacBook Pros. The case is nice and allows you to prop it open, and it is compatible with mounting options. Overall, great quality product and exactly what I needed.

I bought this monitor as a second monitor for taking on trips. I work remotely and can be much more productive with a second monitor. I previously purchased another 4k portable display, but that one has been permanently mounted as a third display at my desk at home. This one is very solidly built, and comes with a very nice case, so I feel confident packing it around in my backpack with my laptop. The display is sharp and clear, and the color looks good to me. The sound from the display is much better than usual, and that is a nice bonus for a portable display. I tested it with my work laptop and also plugged into my iPhone and the results were excellent. I was able to watch a baseball game that I could only get on my phone, in 4k, while on vacation. It’s really the perfect size, bigger than my other portable display, but not too big to pack around. I’m very happy with the purchase and am tempted to use it at home as well, but I may need a bigger desk.

This review is my user experience regarding to Newsoul Portable 4K 16" Monitor (Model #: M1620). It is as described with high brightness, excellent contrast, immersive viewing experience, and lightweight, as well as plug-and-play. But I don't believe that it is an [Aluminum Alloy Shell Portable Monitor] as described. The monitor body shell looks like, feels like, and sounds like a plastic shell. It connects and works with my 2024 14" MacBook Pro M4 Pro, but it doesn't connect with my iPhone 14. The small Power On/Off Button, and the small Pulley Button for setting are not intuitive to use. You have to read the instruction manual first to understand how the buttons function, such as what a long press or a short press will do. I note that I can use just a single USB-C cable connecting the monitor to my MacBook Pro and to make the monitor working. However, if you want great user experience, such as sufficient speaker volume, and brighter screen, you do need the 30W Power Adapter and the other USB-C cable for additional power. The PU magnetic case works ok both as a protecting case and as a supporting stand. But the case as a stand, will take quite a desk surface space. I'm glad that I'm using a desk top mini tripod stand instead to support this lightweight monitor. You can set the monitor to different aspect ratios. Aspect Ratio 16:10 is what I want to match with the aspect ratio of my MacBook Pro.

I bought this monitor as an accessory to my work setup since it's the perfect size to keep on the side. Do note that it's a 4K resolution with 60hz refresh rate monitor so I do use it strictly for work. I actually went on a recent trip and was able to bring just this monitor and my laptop and was able to work flawlessly as well, and it's extra convenient given the magnetic case that it comes with to get it standing on its own. The text clarity, resolution, and color makes it optimal for work personally since I can fit a lot and have it be legible (not blurry). The refresh rate and resolution makes it ok for console gaming and I've also plugged it into my S24 Ultra and it worked with DeX perfectly as well. Overall, it's a great monitor at a great price that fits exactly what I wanted it for.

Franchement, une belle surprise ! Je voulais un écran secondaire portable essentiellement pour déporter mes mails et autres applis de communication afin d'avoir toujours un oeil dessus pendant que je travaille sur un projet vidéo. J'ai choisi ce modèle d'abord pour sa résolution 4k, et j'avoue, je me suis fié aux commentaires... Et je ne m'attendais pas du tout à une dalle aussi qualitative ! Autant que je puisse en juger, les couleurs sont fidèles, le rétro-éclairage est uniforme, et les options nombreuses et vraiment complètes ! J'oubliais, la luminosité de l'espace ! Je l'utilise souvent à 10% pour ne pas m'éclater les yeux ! Autre bon point, du moins sur un mon MacBook Pro 16'' M4 Max (mais j'imagine que c'est pareil avec tous les 16''), il reçoit suffisamment de jus par l'USB-C pour ne pas nécessiter d'alimentation externe (il prévient qu'alimenté de cette façon, il risque clignoter ou de s'éteindre, je n'ai pas observé ça sur mon Mac...) Est-il parfait pour autant ? non... il y a des petits reproches à lui faire : - le son... ne comptez pas dessus :) il ne produit aucun grave, et même pour de la voix, c'est mauvais. Fun fact, il y a une option "3D Sound" dans les réglages, je n'ai même pas perdu mon temps à essayer ;) - la protection/support n'est pas des plus ergonomiques, et je galère souvent à trouver une position stable - petit détail, mais les deux ports USB-C sont du même côté... ça aurait été plus pratique d'en avoir un de chaque côté, selon de quel côté on veut positionner l'écran, mais bon, c'est vraiment mineur... Donc, oui, malgré ces petits défauts, je maintiens les 5 étoiles tant la dalle est excellente, et que ça reste pour moi le principal !

I bought this monitor mainly to use it with Samsung Dex and for mirroring my laptop. Haven't had any connection problems. The very thin bezels and lightweight design make it easy to carry around. The 4K display is sharp and the colors look good. One thing that's really great about this monitor is how bright it gets. I usually keep it around 30-40% for indoor use. It's perfect for watching videos and reading text since everything looks crisp. The speakers are pretty weak but that's expected for something this thin. I just use headphones anyway so it's not a big deal to me. Would've been nice if they included a battery so you could use it without being tethered to a power source. If this thing also had touchscreen OLED 120hz display, it'd be the perfect portable monitor. Would like to see that on future Newsoul monitors. Customer support has also been really quick to respond with issues I had with the monitor. For the price point it's a solid choice compared to other portable monitors out there. Would recommend it.

Je suis ravie de cet écran secondaire. Les réglages sont intuitifs et la qualité d'image est au rendez-vous avec une excellente colorimétrie et une belle luminosité. L’affichage est précis et la fluidité est parfaite grâce au taux de rafraîchissement de 120 Hz. La finition à l'arrière est solide et très soignée. Je l'ai acheté pour le télétravail et son format de 18,5 pouces est idéal pour gérer des tableaux Excel, des e-mails ou des documents. Il est aussi très agréable pour regarder des films. L'écran est livré avec tous les câbles nécessaires (USB-C et HDMI), ce qui permet de brancher facilement un PC, un téléphone ou une tablette. Le rapport qualité-prix est à souligner . De plus, j’ai contacté le service client qui s’est montré très réactif et professionnel, je recommande vivement cette marque qui est une très belle découverte.

Ya había comprado uno de esos monitores portátiles porque trabajo híbrido y, cuando estoy en casa me gusta tener las facilidades que tengo en la oficina. Me salió genial, pero un sobrino descubrió que podía conectar la Switch a ello y... Bueno... Ganó un regalo de Navidad. Así que resolví comprar un otro con mejor resolución para mi y estoy súper contento porque no se nota ninguna diferencia con la pantalla de mi Mac. La calidad es impresionante. Tiene 2 salidas usbc, así que conecto mi headset directamente al monitor - además que el proprio equipo tiene falantes. Me gustó tanto que lo tengo llevado a la oficina también. La pantalla de mi oficina no es 4k y prefiero la mía. Viene en la caja un cargador y - lo mejor - una fonda que deja llevarla adonde quiera utilizarla sin ningún problema. Es poca cosa más larga la pantalla que un MacBook Pro, así que cabe en la misma mochila. Recomendado.
