Simple to install. Remains to be seen if the bin will open when lifted by the truck. We often have 100km wind so hoping this will hold.

Should have bought one of these long time ago. Simple to install and works great. No more blowing trash.

Performant meme si je le trouves couteux pour une bande de caoutchouc au final.

I was looking for a solution that is easier than using bungee cords to keep my lid shut, so the wind will not take it and blow everything everywhere. I found this company and this product and it could not be easier. Follow their instructions and draw the appropriate size hole in the piece. Just snapped right in and hold securely where I am. We are prone to a lot of wind and lids. The lids get knocked open all the time and trash blows around. This holds it quite well, and you don’t have to detach the latch on garbage day. It opens up on its own with the 2 to 3 pounds of pressure when the bin is upside down. And to the person who gave this a one star because this little piece of rubbery type plastic didn’t keep bears from opening your lids. Really???

The template along with the item is useless, the instructions may not apply to your specific garbage can. There needs to be a very clear and detailed video for this, the video that I saw online did not mention or show how the bottom part of the latch should latch on, and how different garbage cans can vary in that specific area. The bottom part that latches doesn’t latch properly if the bottom latching part of your garbage can doesn’t have a thin surface. I had to make multiple holes to try to get this to work. Now my garbage can looks horrible with the holes. I bought this to avoid having to buy new garbage cans due to the “NEW”. New York City law that requires your garbage can to have a latch or your required to buy there garbage cans. Since I ruined my existing garbage cans trying to install these now I have no choice but to buy 2 new garbage cans from NYC.
