SVR-2 Slimline Stainless Steel Snap Knife with Pocket Clip, Grey

It's a simple tool but it does the job perfectly

I bought this and the stainless steel blades for scoring my sourdough. It’s great to hold and the slider is easy to use. Great product.

I wanted a small sharp knife for electrical work - to cut through insulation for stripping wires etc. (I hate using actual cable strippers). I wanted something smaller and with a finer blade than a standard "Stanley knife". I ordered this one, and one of the SAC-1 Graphics knives, by the same manufacturer Olfa SAC-1 Slimline Stainless Steel Graphics Knife . I find the SVR-2 better suited to my uses - although I am surprised to feel any difference. It almost as if this knife has a keener edge. I use it particularly to cut around the insulation of a wire without damaging the copper or silver strands inside, and then slide of the unwanted section of insulation (ie stripping the wire). I don't know why, but I found that the SVR-2 gives me a cleaner, quicker cut than the SAC-1. As an added bonus, the SVR-2 came with two spare blades that I was not expecting. Another unexpected feature is the metal pocket clip that is a part of the knife body. Other manufacturers sometimes provide a plastic clip that slides into the end of the knife as a sort of stopper - and has to be removed to replace the blade. This metal clip is much more secure - both because it is an integral part of the knife, and also because it is metal. If you need a small sharp "modelling" knife - then I would definitely recommend this manufacturer and this model in particular.

As always, olfa make another great product. The knife is really slim so you barely notice it when it's in your pocket etc. Quality is great and the blade that's included is of decent quality. Easy to use the knife, but would have been nice if the blade could lock in place when in use. It's still worth the price and is still a great knife. Would reccomend!

This was to replace the snap knife that had been in my kitchen for odd jobs for over a decade but met its match against a particularly sturdy laminate box. The blade is slim and compact fitting neatly and discreetly into the pen jar on my kitchen counter. It is always handy then for opening mail, boxes, food packets, plastic seals on jars etc. The blade is very sharp and the case is sturdy and comfortable to use.

Normally I give detailed reviews, but OLFA products are just so good that there’s really very little to say, because every OLFA product is best in show and if you have OLFA, you have the best. I have the 30 degree version of this which is more pointy, I bought this because I accidentally bought the blades for this thinking I was buying the 30 degree version, and as I had a superflous pack of blades, I bought the knife to go with them. These have a sharper angle which makes them a better choice for larger less refined cuts. Each blade has a number of cutting edges, when the one you’re using is blunt, you simply extend the blade out and snap the blunt edge off, and now you’re back with another fresh, sharp blade. OLFA tools have never given me any problems, benit craft knifes or rotary cutters, I only ever buy OLFA knives now because anything else just isn’t as good. You pay a little more, but you’re getting a product that you know is good, high quality and fit for purpose, and with knives, a poor knife is probably going to injure you.

Ein Muss für jeden, der Fensterfolien schneidet! Ich habe dieses Messer nicht einfach nur gesucht, sondern gezielt gekauft, weil es der absolute Branchenstandard für das Schneiden von Fensterfolien ist. Wer Autoscheiben professionell tönen will, kommt an diesem Werkzeug nicht vorbei. Durch den speziellen Klingenwinkel schneidet man die Folie perfekt, ohne dabei das Glas zu beschädigen – ein absoluter Pluspunkt, der viel Sicherheit gibt. Die Qualität ist, wie man es von Olfa gewohnt ist, herausragend. Das Messer liegt gut in der Hand und die Klingenführung ist sehr präzise. Ein wichtiger Hinweis: Für das eigentliche Folieren von "Lackfolien" ist dieses Messer nicht gut geeignet. Wer also ein zuverlässiges Werkzeug zum Schneiden von Fensterfolien sucht, ist mit dem Olfa SVR-2 bestens bedient. Ich kann es uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

De qualité et verrouillage automatique très confortable

Bellissimo taglierino tutto in acciaio inox escluso il cursore che è in pvc. Io che al lavoro uso molto acetato di etile come solvente con questo taglierino non lo intacca minimamente invece prima se si bagnava con il solvente era quasi da buttare. Super consigliato e le lame durano di più le stesse che uso al lavoro e che avevo nel taglierino di plastica che da l azienda e che uso otto ore al giorno
