Admittedly we don't use our oven light that much, but we've had these for several months and the first one has still held up. Because for whatever reason (and we've tried many name brands in the past), these are not only hard to find, but don't last long, which is why I purchased the 4 pack. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fits vintage lava lamps!!!

For some reason, the bulb manufacturers recently made their 40 watt appliance bulbs longer. They won't work with old lava lamps. Mine is from the seventies, for example, and the bottle part will actually sit ON the larger bulb which I didn't think was safe, and the bottle doesn't seat securely in the base because of it. These bulbs are a lot shorter, so I gave them a try. Not only do they fit, but they seem to be just a little warmer than my old bulb, as the lava movement is a little more active. If you're a fan of old Lava Lites, and a lot of collectors are--stock up on these bulbs while you can.
