Easy setup, good sound for the price

This speaker hooks up with ease. Does everything it says it does! Definitely worth it!

I am changing my rating after using the product for several months. The USB connection is clunky and makes the output sound weird. I no longer recomend this product. ----Old review The lighting effects look good. A must have if you also have a LED keyboard. The USB-C connector gets both power and sound when connected to a computer. Cabled connection is straigtforward, and Blutooth works fine. Unlike other products, they don't seem to "go to sleep", and therefore you can hear every sound without breaks. The sound quality is OK, enough for day to day use. They are not a home theatre, but if you really care about sound while gaming, you should probably be playing on a PS5 with an OLED TV and a 5.1+ receiver with tower speakers, instead of using a computer. If consoles are not for you, then you are better off using headphones.

I bought this for use with a desktop PC. I use it mostly for streaming movies and videos. The sound quality for my needs is better than average. I've tried several that weren't. But that's about the end of the highlights in terms of this soundbar. The lights are extremely annoying and I don't care for them. No big deal because the description says I can turn them off. Which is true. They can be turned off. But you can't turn them off and leave them off because it defaults to "lights on" mode every time your computer is powered off/on or every time it snoozes and wakes up. So it seems like I'm always having to turn off the lights. The other highly annoying feature is I can't get this to work in any mode other than Bluetooth. The description states it works with the AUX cable or the USB cable (both are provided). Well, it doesn't. I've followed directions, watched videos and read instructions...it won't produce sound in any mode other than Bluetooth. Also, the sound works just like the lights. I can't just power up my computer and have sound. No...I have to reach behind my monitor and press a button to turn the danged thing on...just like the lights. I'm really debating returning this...but then I have to find another one with decent sound. I've tried stand-alone speakers but can't find any with decent sound quality at an affordable price. ***UPDATE*** This is likely the most annoying purchase I've ever made from Amazon. I tried and tried to get used to this soundbar but I just can't. The constantly having to turn it on and turn the lights off is a deal-breaker. It's going back.
