They keep the row covers or sheets from touching the plants, and the kit comes with clips that secure the row covers at the top, sides, and all the way down to the soil. The stakes are bendable, but yet extremely sturdy and can be put together to make them as tall or as short as you want. I highly recommend! Review: Just received package, all 72 Pc in box, even with one end of box wide open(?), order had to travel from Beijing (like 99% of all orders do) 7000 miles, so I guess it could have been worse. I have to give a 4-star rating at this time because I have not installed, materials etc. looks fine for sturdiness and weathering, give it a few seasons and update, until then.

I was skeptical on the number of reviews but thought if they weren’t good I would return them. I love these! The materials are very sturdy with just enough bend. My brassicas are covered with a 5 piece arch. I have the clips on as well as some spare bricks for weighing down my fabric (as a reminder the fabric is not included).

Easy set up and sturdy!

So far so good they stay together nicely. I haven’t had one come apart yet. I am using them to enclose an area of tomatoes, and there seems to be more than enough to be able to form a pattern with the poles to have the tomatoes intertwined with the structure. Very satisfied with the product
