The Gold Standard of Sea Salt – My Wife’s Favorite!
I bought this Le Paludier Fleur de Sel de Guerande for my wife, and she absolutely loves it. She is very particular about her ingredients, and this French sea salt has become a staple in our kitchen. The texture is what sets it apart—it has a delicate, slight crunch that doesn't just dissolve immediately, and the flavor is briny yet subtle without being harshly salty. My wife uses it as a finishing salt on everything from roasted vegetables and grilled meats to even a touch on chocolate desserts. It truly elevates every dish it touches. The 4.4 oz size is perfect for keeping on the counter for daily use. If you’re looking for a high-quality, authentic Fleur de Sel to impress the cook in your family, this is definitely the one to get!

Best salt I ever tried.
Was given a gift of salts last year and this was my favorite. I have since purchased again. I tried several and this one is the best. Salty, but not sharp or too strong. I happen to love salt on watermelon and some other fruits and this is a real treat. I brought it to a family gathering and everyone loved it, but many felt it was probably too expensive that they would have paid for salt. As for me, I consider this a personal indulgence. I also purchased a small wooden salt keeper for it. Will reordrer.

My favorite; one arrived unsealed
This is my very favorite go to salt. I ordered 3. One arrived with seals broken on both sides, but the cap was not twisted in any way. The seals still matched up except they were both cut. It’s been resolved and I have credit. One seal was cut. The other ripped open. Great salt tho.

Great Product not so good packaging
I love this salt! It’s the purfect touch to bring out the great flavor of any meal. The only thing that I would improve is the packaging it was mailed in. It was sent in a paper type bag/envelope and that’s not so great when the salt is in a card board packaging. The bag was crushed which damaged the bottom of the salt box. I opened it up only to try to save the salt from completely leaking out.

Delicious finishing salt!
I was introduced to fine finishing salts from a friend who’s spent significant time in France. I always thought salt was just…salt. Several years ago after a visit she brought this salt back as a gift for me, emphasizing it was not for recipes, just a sprinkle on prepared dishes right before serving. Tried using it in a cookie recipe, thinking “what could it hurt?” Big mistake, she was right, lesson learned. This flaky and flavorful salt adds that extra something to a dish or a salad. Use a light hand, a little pinch is all you need. Also, what I’ve found over the years is that a container of this salt, a bottle of quality olive oil, plus a jar of local honey makes a delightful gift for anyone who likes to cook…or eat!

Great Artisanal Salt, but We Still Prefer Maldon for Maximum Impact
I learned of this salt in a French detective story set in the Guerande salt-producing area of Brittany on the Atlantic ocean. We previously had tried Fleur de Sel produced on the Mediterranean shore of France (very good;) and the English-made Maldon with its little pyramids which add so much to its use as a finishing salt. Maldon is still the favorite, but Fleur de Sel de Guerande is its equal in flavor and almost makes it on appearance. Excellent semi-coarse texture makes it easier in some ways to use "just a pinch" when plating or at table. Try it, you'll like it!
