Amazing!!!
I recently purchased the HS290 drone, and I am thoroughly impressed with its performance. The drone is incredibly easy to set up and fly, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced pilots. The stability and control are excellent, and the image quality of the camera is superb, capturing clear and vibrant footage. The HS290's battery life is impressive, allowing for extended flight sessions without frequent recharging. Additionally, the drone's design is sleek and durable, with intuitive controls that enhance the overall flying experience. Overall, the HS290 offers fantastic value for its price. It's a reliable and high-performing drone that has exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a top-notch aerial experience!

Fun and durable!
Incredible! Bought this for my 9 year old nephew, he loved it! I loved it! We crashed it several times into trees whilst learning how to fly it and it was totally fine, it even fell through a tree and recovered itself and didn’t hit the ground! Haven’t tried it with a phone attached to the controller yet but for £40 it’s absolutely banging! (Was on offer)

Camera lag.
Good drone for kids, if your a beginner I recommend you get something a little bit more expensive because you cannot fly the drone far and cannot fly via the app camera because it’s too laggy other than that brilliant drone

Uncontrollable on First Flight – Flew Away and Ignored All Controls
My son bought this drone with his Christmas money and was incredibly excited to fly it. We followed the instructions carefully, completed the calibration, and used the take-off button as instructed. Initially, the drone lifted and hovered correctly, so everything appeared to be working as promised. However, as soon as we gently pushed the controller to ascend just a few feet, the drone suddenly accelerated away at speed. It flew over the park, over nearby houses, and off across open fields. From that moment on, it did not respond to any controls at all — including the emergency landing button. There was no way to stop it, slow it down, or bring it back. It simply disappeared. This was the very first flight, in suitable conditions, and after following all setup procedures. This was not misuse or inexperience — the drone was clearly faulty and completely uncontrollable. A product that can fly away instantly and ignore all commands is not safe, not reliable, and certainly not fit for purpose. My son is absolutely gutted, and as a parent it’s incredibly frustrating to see £50 of his own money wasted on something that failed immediately. The product promised a stable, controllable flight experience but delivered the opposite. I would strongly caution other buyers, especially parents purchasing this for children. Based on our experience, this drone cannot be trusted.

Great choice for beginners
The Holy Stone HS290 Foldable Drone is a great choice for beginners and casual flyers. The 1080P HD FPV camera delivers clear, smooth video and photos, making it fun to capture aerial views in real time. Its foldable design is compact and travel-friendly, so it’s easy to take anywhere. The drone is stable in flight, simple to control, and packed with beginner friendly features that make learning enjoyable rather than intimidating. Battery life is solid for its size, and overall build quality feels reliable. A fantastic drone for the price and a lot of fun to fly.

Decent Starter Drone, But Keep Your Expectations Realistic
This is a decent little drone for the money, but it’s definitely more of a kids’ toy or beginner drone than something for serious drone enthusiasts. The drone is lightweight, easy to set up and fun to fly. I liked that it comes with two batteries, a carry case and spare propellers, so you’re ready to go straight out of the box. Battery life is around 12 minutes per battery, giving roughly 24 minutes in total if you use both batteries, which is reasonable for the price. On the downside, the camera is fairly basic and the footage can be quite shaky as there is no image stabilisation. It also struggles in windy conditions due to its light weight, and the lack of GPS means you need to be careful when flying outdoors. Overall, it’s a good introduction to drones and a fun way to learn the basics without spending a fortune. It has its limitations, but considering the price, it’s hard to complain too much.

Great drone
I bought this for my son’s 10th birthday. It’s an excellent drone, and very easy to fly thanks to the automatic takeoff mode. It’s fun For both children and adults to fly, and is excellent value for money. If your main purpose is to take video or photos, then this probably is not the drone for you as the video / photo quality is not the best. I’d recommend looking for a 4K camera drone in this case. For flying around and having some fun, this is a super drone for the money. The flying range is great too, at near 100m.

Neat little Drone 👍👍👍. with Updates :/ 3rd update
Third update: +3 stars Update 3: despite being a little frustrated with my experience, customer service came through again! I still have the first drone that flies just fine, gps works, just doesnt have a camera for more than a minute. Its enough to fly around though. Still waiting on the new camera, but if that works i will be thrilled. Also received a replacement for the second one that drifted off. My only advice to be cognizant of where you fly it and keeping real line of sight. All in all, still a good deal Update 2: customer service went above and beyond, I received a replacement drone and then they also sent me a new camera. but the camera is going to take a few weeks. enjoyed flying the new drone, logged a couple flights, but then when coming home to land it and replace the battery for another flight, it started to drift off, then disconnected and flew away. have not since found the drone. So not I am out a working drone, propeller guards and an SD card (purchased separately). while the first time they did go above and beyond for customer service, this time they are asking me to wait on the camera to see if it fixes the first one. while it isnt an unreasonable request, the return window is closing pretty quick. I do like the drone, but I am now at two separate issues and with no working drones. going to give it a week to see if the camera arrives and if that fixes it. otherwise, I may return it. Frankly, if they werent so helpful the first time I would have returned it by now. update 1: Drone lost connectivity to the camera. Not sure if it was from a crash, but just started disconnecting. Drone still flys and gps functions work still. All the positive comments about the awesome customer service are true. Holystone is taking care of me! Day 2 initial review!! I have played with mini drones and super cheap drones, and thought it might be time to go a little better and more capable in a drone. I agonized for a couple days, going back and forth on higher end drones and even less capable drones. Not sure if i wanted or needed certain features or to spend the money on a drone I might very well crash or lose due to inexperience. I looked at the higher end holy stones. As well as other brands. and finally found the HS110G model on sale during prime day. Was a step or so above the beginner drones, has some features (GPS follow, maps etc) I had never used for a price that was great. So far Pro: -Comes with great little carrying case. -2 batteries (I didnt find the second battery until day 2) -Comes with spare blades. -Descent flight time per battery -App is cool and easy to use -Easy to fly and stable in both modes. -Durable (so far) -Good quality in the camera (way better than i expected) -handled some wind better than expected. -great deal for price. Neutral (to be fully transparent) I havent had enough time to fully push the envelope or try all features in earnest due to winds picking up and gusting. -Havent figured out the map thing yet to fly a route (wind is preventing me) - havent figured out the wave feature to make it take pictures (also havent really tried either) -havent had the auto return featute kick in. -follow me worked but the camera orientation stayed the same so i was off camera immediately. Not sure if I am doing it wrong or its a super basic type follow function. Cons. -I would say this may not be good for true beginners. It is considered "advance". Would consider the mini or the hs 200 for kids or people really new to drones until they learn the characteristics. Although it is easy to fly, there is more to screw up. - set up is little more involved (instructions are great though) and take a few minutes eact time you fly. -it is a light, small drone, although it handled some wind better than I expected. Wind will be an issue for operators. -have to charge the batteries through the drone itself. (Seperate chargers are available) -charge time took awhile. -doesnt come with propeller gaurds. -camera is fixed, so during flight the view can be jerky. But, I knew that was going to be the case from reading reviews. -no collision avoidance, which i also knew, but being i generally suck at flying these. Would be nice to have Couple of lessons learned. -Follow the directions closely.. like really closely -read tons of reviews talked about these things developing a mind of their own (all sorts of different models and brands, but less with this one?) Well my first couple attempts at flight with the cell phone yielded the same results for me. But i was doing it in the house so i wouldnt lose a drone in case i did something dumb...which i did. 1. When connecting to the drone wifi. Turn OFF autoconnect to other wifi sources. My phone disconnected and recconected to my original wifi. Causing the drone to not respond and do its own thing..i did this twice. Its how i can say it is durable so far. 2. Make sure you have the right model selected in the app. 3. Make sure during set up you have the drone oriented in the direction you will be flying. All in all I really happy with it so far. But I do see this as a gateway drug to bigger more advanced drones!!

Great beginner drone
The Holy Stone HS110G is a great drone for a beginner, not only because of its features like Headless Mode that ease the job of learning to fly but also because it comes as a package that contains the drone, remote control, two batteries and a very nice fitted carrying case all at a price point that makes it one of the least expensive GPS drones around. And if that isn’t enough it comes from Holy Stone, a drone company with an excellent reputation for its customer support. I received my HS110G quickly from Amazon and immediately charged the remote and the two batteries. My first impressions of the drone were totally positive. It weighs in at 185 gm with a battery installed and comes with a fixed camera that takes a micro SD card in a slot in the rear. My 32GB card seems to work fine. The landing gear seem like they will do a great job at protecting the camera and are quite short. The result should be excellent stability. The case has a nice zippered pocket that I used to store the miscellaneous parts: spare propellers with screws and screwdriver, spare landing gear, charging cable and instruction manual. There is an interior pocket also. The inside custom foam cutouts nicely cradle the drone, remote control and two batteries with room for additional batteries should you get them. Altogether, a very nice package. My first flight continued to meet my expectations. After calibration and waiting for sufficient satellites for a good GPS signal I took it flying. The one key takeoff function works great with the drone hovering in place over its takeoff point. The default speed is the middle one, speed 2 and it is a great speed for learning to fly. Speed 1, the slow speed, is very slow and really helps steady the drone when taking pictures and especially video and speed 3 is quite zippy, for the more confident flyer. I flew at all the speeds around my field and landed a number of times. The battery life I got was 13 minutes, just as advertised. I also tested the return-to-home function several times and found it behaves well, first hovering in place and rotating to face its home take off point then rising to the preset RTH altitude and finally returning to the home coordinates before slowly descending to land. The RTH altitude can be set in the app and I was careful to set it high enough to be above all the tall trees around me. As I expected, the low landing gear kept the drone upright after landing and I was almost always able to take off immediately from the landing position, a nice feature if you happen to land some distance away. I did crash a couple of times, including hitting a wall and the drone was unfazed. Just set it upright, reinitialize the gyro and take off. The camera is fixed and not gimbaled which limits the usefulness of the extra features like Follow Me, which does follow the remote but doesn’t do a good job of keeping the subject in the frame. I have to say, the only thing I didn’t like was the battery charging, which has to be done with the battery in the drone. It do wish it had a charging dock so that both batteries could be charged at the same time. But it’s a convenience item that in no way detracts from the excellent flying experience I had with the drone. Overall, you get a lot of bang for the buck with the Holy Stone HS110G: GPS, a camera, two batteries, nice case, good support. It has headless mode, GPS and multiple flight speeds which really help a beginner learn to fly while minimizing crashes and reducing the risk of loss. And it appears to be fairly robust so you can fly again after most crashes. If you’re on a tight budget and just want to try drone flying it makes a great starting drone.

Missing items - FIXED. Revised review
** Original review: This is false advertising. The company significantly changed this product offering but did not change the description. I assume cost-cutting. The item comes with only one battery - it says two on here. Pretty useless without an extra battery. They carrying case has also been eliminated. Carrying it around with out a case is a recipe for damage. Returning the product - I can get a similar drone with extra batteries and carrying case.*** So - that happened. I was contacted by a customer rep from the company and offered replacement with 2 batteries and a case, as originally advertised. And yes, it was delivered as promised. Test fpre bhis is great customer service - very responsive. Anyway, once I got the replacement drone, I set it up relatively easily. Tried around the yard. It was a cold and windy day - not the best for drones. But this drone - a bit shaky in wind - did quite well and it is easy to control. The quality of the video is excellent when seen on an iPhone. Very high quality and clear. For me, this is an excellent drone for beginners if you want to practice and learn how to effectively use a drone. This drone has all features of more expensive drones - the difference will be in ruggedness and construction. Excellent drone for beginners at a great price.

Better read this before you buy...
It was a waste of money. I will not buy from them again. • The online drone specs do not specify what size phone will fit the mount • So, I had to buy another phone for drone usage, because mine did not fit upon arrival • When I reported this to their support, I was told that I could have bought a 3rd party phone holder to attach to the transmitter which is not mentioned in their ad. They could not give me a link to said holder. I personally don't believe one exists • When I asked them to please comp me in drone accessories as reimbursement for the new phone I had to buy to even use my brand new drone... they said they would allow a one time, free item of my choice. Extra battery, charger, etc. None of which even came close to my phone investment. • The one free item I was lucky enough to convince them to comp. me was estimated to arrive weeks from now because it was coming from China. • My drone wasn't even listed on their primitive internet website. Which led me to believe it was discontinued; which they claimed it was not. • All the accessories on their website were completely unavailable. • I needed the drone for landscape projects to take vertical photos for landscape planning, only to find the camera does not even adjust downward like other cheaper drones; it's not really discussed in their ad. Last, they never called me back to help me find a more suitable model once I figured out the camera angle issue after leaving a message. I actually told them I wanted to buy another one from them; no call back. Go figure. So I searched on Amazon for a different one and found an "OMG!" way better brand that totally fit my needs, it was cheaper with a Prime Discount, Amazon also gave me an added $25 free no obligation coupon. With all the money I saved with just that... I was able to get extra out of budget replacement accessories (readily available) included in my box, a 1 yr free manufacturer's warranty strait out of the box. A 3 yr Assurion unconditional replacement warranty for ANYTHING that happens, and the camera adjusts as well as it's a much higher quality camera... All for the same price as the Holy Stone drone. Very very happy with my new one now! The one Holy Stone product I was extremely happy with was the carrying case, which I ended using for my new drone after easily cutting out new drone slightly different shape to fit it in it.

Great starter Hd Camera drone!
The packaging is awesome! I've personally never seen a case as good as this one. Everything has a place and fits securely and safely. With some of my other drones it's a hassle to carry a remote, battery, drone and other pieces out to my car to go fly, but with this one you just throw the case in your trunk or on your back and your'e good to go! There are a couple zippered pockets for any extra things you want to throw in. A+ The drone is very light, but seems sturdy and strong. It comes with an extra set of landing gear and props in case you get into any hard crashed. But the drone is so light that crash damage tends to be very minimal if any. Ive crashed 3 or 4 times into trees and there is no sign of damage, even on the props. I love that it comes with 2 batteries, and the flight times the company suggests are accurate. You can only charge one battery at a time. The controller is very cool. It is sturdy, and the fold out arms are very comfortable and not just a gimmick. The gimbals are smooth and the tension seems to be about perfect. I love that it comes with it's own rechargeable internal battery. Just make sure you charge the controller every time you charge the two batteries for the drone to make sure you don't run out of power during a flying sesh like I did! As always with Holystone, the drone comes with clear easy to follow instructions. I tried to set up the drone inside and couldn't get it to work. I went outside and everything connected just fine. I think it might have something to do with the satellites. Make sure you connect to the wifi through the free app first. Just start at the beginning and follow the steps and you'll be flying within a minute or two. One thing I don't like is that I don't think you can fly without the app on your phone. I wasn't able to anyway. But it's not a big deal as I love to have access to live video on my phone while I'm flying. Also, on the app it helps guide you through set up and tell you of any low battery warnings or troubleshooting. [Edit] I found out you can fly without your phone. You just have to turn of the gps from the controller. Instructions are in the manual, I just skipped over them the first time. The weather has been pretty crappy where I live and I haven't been able to max out the range in the week I've had it. I flew a bit in my back yard (see video) and didn't have any problems. You have the option of recording video at 1080 on a micro Sd card, or having the video automatically save on your phone at 720. The video I posted is from an sd card. The video your phone records would be the same thing you see FPV style on your phone. Don't expect to be able to fly behind any solid objects and be able to have a good signal. When you do lose signal, there will be a pause on your phone until it picks up the wifi signal a couple seconds later. This pause will be recorded to your phone unless you have an sd card. Even in my back yard the video signal would cut out intermittently depending on distance and angle of the drone. Also there is no video stabilization, so if there is much wind, your video will be choppy. I love the 110 degree camera. I've had many drones where the video was unusable because the view was so narrow. With this camera you have great peripheral view! Right now, Holystone is my favorite Chinese drone company. Their products are solid, do what they say they are going to do, and their quality control is great. If for some reason you get a dud, Customer service will take care of you. I've purchased 4 different drones from them and they all work perfectly. However, don't expect this to compete with high end drone footage you see on the internet. A lot of those drones cost $1000+. This is a great, inexpensive beginner drone with everything you need to get started to crash around and see if you like the hobby enough to look at the expensive and complicated ones.
