Beautiful color!
I really liked this color glaze, I used to use one by John Freida a long time ago that I loved, but I guess they don’t make it anymore. So I decided to try this after researching some reviews. It was easy to use, it came with a pump and was pretty straightforward as far as directions. The color lasts well for about 5-6 washes, and fades gradually. I wish it lasted a little longer but I don’t want to dive in to an actual color dye yet, I haven’t dyed my hair since high school and at 41 started seeing some gray hair along my temples. This says it won’t cover greys, but if you only have a few, it’ll do the job for a week or so. The color is pretty, doesn’t look like a cheap box dye, it only just slightly darkened my hair, my hair is pretty dark brown anyway but this helps deepen the tone. I used it on wet hair once and dry hair once and for convenience, I’d do it on dry hair. It’s better so you can apply it and let it sit for a while before getting into the shower. If your hair is dirty though or you have product in it I’d wash and then use the glaze. I use this with the John Frieda brilliant brunette shampoo and conditioner, it helps to make the color last longer. Definitely use gloves to put this on. It will stain any fabric or skin it touches. I like to use a plastic bag over my hair while it’s in to keep it from dripping on my face and body.

You going to love it
This glaze was everything was looking for, color, price and size is perfect for a quick color when need to go out or have a party. I usually do it the night before and very next day get compliments. ( te va gustar.) Your hair gets the shine for the vine, soft and doesn't damage your hair. El precio de este producto es bueno, bonito y barato. Todo lo que quieres esta ahi, si tienes que salir a una fiesta este producto te salva la vida. El pelo te lo deja suave, hermoso y con color y lo mejor es que no te dstruye el pelo.

Auburn = orange and no staying power
My natural hair color is golden light brown that looks a bit red in the right light. I wanted to put more natural red tones in my hair so it would be more of a red mahogany/rose brown. I got the auburn color. My hair was mostly virgin, just a couple rounds of very low lift demi permanent color a while ago. I shampooed my hair, did not condition, and let it dry completely. I put Vaseline on my face. Then I sectioned my hair and applied the glaze. I ended up mixing the glaze with a little water as I went because it is pretty thick. It took probably 20 minutes to apply and then I left it on 15 minutes or so, then rinsed with lukewarm water. (In hindsight, because this is such a subtle color I probably could have used thicker sections and gotten it on my hair faster). I think the dye caused some slight irritation on my neck. Luckily it didn't dye my skin or scalp too badly. I was kind of disappointed with the result. It just seemed very subtle and like the dye didn't take. Then I realized it did take, it just wasn't the color I wanted. I wanted a stronger neutral red tone. But my hair came out a slightly gingery orange, caramel brown. If there was red, it was extremely subtle with the dominant colors being brown and orange. I wish I'd tried the cherry color instead, but moreover I think my hair could probably handle a much redder dye and still come out a natural red-brown. Red is so hard to get to stick to hair, especially unprocessed hair like mine. The good news is on day 1 my hair was shiny and a darker, richer color. I couldn't stop touching my hair, it felt so nice and soft. Turns out I didn't have to live with orangey hair very long because after one shampoo, the color was almost gone. There is a very slight green tinge in my hair now, nothing too bad. If I had liked the color, then next time I would keep it on for an hour and use the blow dryer on it to help it stick to my hair. My hair is also not very shiny anymore so I guess the gloss effect wore off too. It definitely stained my counter and sink. I would say covering your counter and sink with something like plastic wrap so it doesn't get stained is absolutely necessary. When I finished I immediately scrubbed the stains with baking soda+dish soap and water and let it sit overnight and that got the stains mostly off. Do not use vinegar or anything acidic. It didn't stain my bathtub because I was careful to rinse it out of my hair under a full stream of water and not let it splatter.

Great temporary color!
If you are looking for something just to touch up color, this is what I would use! I already have dark brown hair but like it to lean a little more towards a black brown than my natural color. This does exactly that. I have semi-thick hair and I can get two uses out of one bottle of this. It is easy to apply with your fingers, I would just recommend to wear gloves when doing so. The color also washes out gradually and continues to look good as it does. I will continue to purchase this product!

Worked great!
This gloss is phenomenal. It adds shine and some light pigment that leaves your hair feeling like you just left the salon. When I realized I couldn’t get to the salon for another 4 weeks I knew I had to try something. This was it. My hair is balyaged to a lighter red/copper with dark level 3-2 roots. I have a lot of gray peeking through. This did not take care of the gray how ever, it made them much less noticeable. It darkened my balayaged parts only a bit. And it added noticeable shine and evenness throughout my hair. I find the smell great. It was super easy to apply with gloves. I was mindful not to get it all over the bathroom and I have no staining in my sink or shower. I wiped it off my skin after application and had no problems with it staining my face or neck. This is a really great product and it saved me from box dye while I wait for my hair appointment!

Excellent for touch-ups to the lengths of my hair between color!
What you may not know is if you color your hair red, it's the most difficult color to maintain because it's the largest color molecule and the easiest to lose. If you spend any amount of time outdoors, you'll know your red can fade super fast just due to the sun. Hubby detests blondes and when my red fades it starts to look blonde! If you get the correct shade, this Glaze works beautifully! The Auburn shade is perfection - apply to dry hair for about 20-30 mins then wash and condition as usual and this stays looking great for many weeks! I like that it's easier on the hair than continued application of a permanent color. It can get expensive if you use it too often so I will often just paint it on the top-most layers of hair rather than saturate every stand on my scalp. It looks lovely that way, too!!

Not recommended
Very disappointing product. It made my hair dry and messy, and you have to wear gloves when using it. I saw no noticeable difference in my hair color or appearance — it just left my hair feeling even drier. Definitely not worth it for me.

great hair gloss
Great hair gloss, leaves hair feeling smooth and silky. I used gloves I had, applied in 4 sections, let sit for 15 minutes and then rinsed out. Took awhile to rinse till the water was clean. Washed, blow dryed, and styled after. Looks great. Probably enough for 1 more use, so 2 total. Perfect color for brunettes.

Works well to colour hair
I am pretty happy about this product. I have pretty course hair so it's hard to say if it looks more glossy but I think it works to make the hair softer. My hair is dark brown (from colour treated) and it was starting to look brassy but this worked so well to make my hair black. I'm quite impressed with how it colours the hair. I love that it only needs to be on for 10 min.

Good but doesn’t last
I was sooo happy with the color, and shine it amazed me and I’m happy with the results however… I had to use half the bottle, my hair is just a bit below my shoulders and the color faded after one wash 😓 so definitely not a great price for only 2 uses when it claims to last 10 washes
