Im new to gelatin sheets. Would this be good for jello shots? Im making eyeballs for halloween!

Is Platinum better than a vegetable gelatin to create a gelatin glaze to dip molded frozen fruit puree?

Gelatin will always be best for glazes since most 'vegetable gelatin' is just agar, which does not work for glazes.

How do I determine what bloom strength to use for different items, e.g. jelly vs. panna cotta?

Bloom strength is selected based on what type of product you are looking for. The highest bloom strength (platinum) is best suited for items where you want the cleanest flavor profile and a crystal clear gel. Panna Cottas and jellies both do very well with platinum. The lowest bloom strength (titanium) is best suited for applications where clarity is not as important. How much does one sheet weigh in grams?

it is so thin and light and it must weigh only a few micrograms. the cover said one sheet works for about half cup liquid. It is very easy to use and so pure. very nice.

I have never used gelatin sheets before but I did plenty of research on which grade to use for the results I wanted and I chose to try this brand. I must say that it held up wonderfully. Very easy to work it and made my mirror glaze look beautiful!

Gingerbread Windows

This worked perfectly to mimic the wavy glass windows at my lake house in the model I made for the holidays as a surprise! It really made it look realistic! Would be amazing for a real gingerbread house too!

This gelatin is the bee’s knees.

If you’ve never used gelatin sheets please get this at least once to try. I am blown away by the results. Also very fun (almost therapeutic) process. After you soak the gelatin for 10 minutes in cold water, be sure to squeeze out the excess water and then put it in a little strainer over a bowl to catch any drips until you need it in your recipe. The gelatin sheets before soaking can be cut with kitchen scissors to fit into your bowl of water better. It dissolves very quickly when it’s time to use, almost instantly.
