Purchased for a relative who suffers from mild to severe incontinence, pending on time of day. She likes them. These are very similar in construction to, and have the same strong woodsy cherry tobacco scent as, their pink 12-hour protection counterpart, but are most definitely MORE ABSORBENT, fit a tad tighter around legs, and have a slightly longer rise. These disposable underwear can be worn day or night under most clothing without being obvious or bulky. Of course, the pad section will become bulky when it encounters enough fluid for the gel to swell-up. If not sitting or putting pressure on the padded section, it can hold about 1 cup or more of fluid for a good 15 minutes or more without leaking down legs or wicking up onto the non-waterproof panty section. (Similar, if not better than, their competitor Tena and Depends Overnight). Heavy night wetters or those with severe incontinence issues will need to line these with some kind of long booster pad. For post-partem and those who only have drips, drabs, or leaks, these undies are great -- I tested them out myself to be sure and can honestly say, use these with confidence. A few thoughts... * I think the company should dispense with making the "12-hour" version given that these Night versions are superior in terms of absorbency (the panty material and the pad thickness are virtually identical). They should just make these in black and various skin-tone colours. * The price is too high, especially for those who wear larger sizes and who have to change 5 to 10 or more times per day (Very hard on the budget and a serious financial strain for those with low/fixed incomes -- Canada's healthcare system does not pay for nor subsidize incontinence products). * Amazon should make it easier to find the larger quantity packs when doing a search rather than pushing the 14 unit packages! Lastly, a point about choosing size: I recommend that you go with pant size on the size chart rather than weight. If you're teetering on the top end of a size group and have larger thighs, go up to the next size for better comfort (Otherwise, you might find yourself getting scissor happy and making alterations). Example: If your pant size is 18-22, the XL size will be more comfortable, less sweat-inducing in hot humid weather, and less prone to wicking urine up your lower back than the size Large. Also, there have been occasions where the whole package of Large size undies, purchased via Amazon, were much smaller than usual for some reason. Hope this helps.

I have tried most brands for overnight use, and this one tops the list. Its absorption capability is unmatched for its price range, and they make a diaper cover almost unnecessary. I say unnecessary because there are limits, and the waterproof cover provides reliable "insurance." Other brands don't measure up where leaks around the leg openings are concerned. Once again, I find that Always Discreet works pretty well the same for men as it surely does for women.

Would not recommend for bladder leaks. This would be great for periods, but I have not had any luck with these for stress incontinence due to coughing. I actually have to line them with another pad so they don't leak. Also the padding bunches a lot in the middle. I think they would be good for heavy periods, or postpartum, but not for bladder leaks and gushing. Also, I wear a size 22/24 and find these don't fit well. I have tried the size up (xxl), and they are too large. I will be going back to my other brand after trying these a few times.

They are smaller than the regular always discreet underwear. Buy the next size up. They do work well.
