My old coffee maker by another manufacturer needed a new lid for the carafe (just the lid), but they wanted me to buy a whole carafe for nearly the price of an entire coffee maker. So I noticed that Mr. Coffee will sell you lids separately. So I went with this model. Simple. No programming required. No clocks to reset every time the power goes off. Only an on/off switch, so you have to be responsible for not leaving it on overnight and burning your coffee to a hard, smelly paste. But it fulfills it's purpose brilliantly by making an excellent pot of coffee every single time. Forget programming it for coffee to be ready when you wake up. Just flip it on, and it will brew your coffee in the time it takes to brush your teeth.

Don't waste your money on this. We heard great reviews on line and in person but this thing died within 4 months. Not replacing a coffee maker every four months with more junk. Yeah sure its easy to use but you can find better quality machines for this price or just a little more. Not impressed at all. Not good quality notbgood reliability. Cheap plastic junk
