These pencils are great for small handwriting working on pre-handwriting skills. It promotes a tripod grasp while strengthening the small muscles in their fingers to help develop of more dynamic tripod grasp (fingers move the pencils while wrist is stabilized on the surface). They come in a variety of colors and are easy to sharpen, my students love them.

I bought these jumbo pencils for my niece because she’s still learning how to hold a pencil properly. The larger size makes it so much easier for her little hands to grip and practice writing. They’re sturdy, write smoothly, and don’t break easily. Perfect for kids just starting out or anyone who needs a bigger, easier to hold pencil.

These are the perfect size for little hands. They are helpful for those who struggle with fine motor skills and handwriting!

Good quality. I just wish Kindergarten teachers would use them to teach the 5 years how to hold a pencil. It is so hard to teach proper pencil grip after a year of holding #2 skinny pencils in their fists to write.

The GOOD: ...bought these to assist someone that I'm mentoring with their pencil grip. Have observed our lesson study over the past week and the pencil grip has become vastly improved, without me needing to prompt. The triangle shape literally makes one hold it correctly with 3 fingers, one on each side, instead of a 4 finger pile-up. I told the child that was removing all "other" pencils and only these would be used. I also made sure to make this adjustment fun by having them pick out the colors they wanted. The quality is nice and the paint colors are pleasant. The BAD... I remembered reading a review about these arriving "dirty" and thinking "oh geez, quit complaining." Nope! I absoLOUTELY apologize. These pencils come in a white box that I'm sure looks great on a shelf. However... ...after being pitched and tossed by Amazon, Mr & Mrs Postman and being tossed on the kitchen table and opened up? It is a *complete* mess inside. The pencils write all over each OTHER. Cleaning the mess takes forever. I tried using liquid as well as dry-wiping and the lead is hard to get off of the pencils. Each pencil has to be painstakingly scrubbed individually, and they just genuinely look not the best. Check out the pics I took for you. The pencils could be an inch or two longer. After using them and a few sharpenings we're getting down to nubs here. Even for preschool/toddler hands, the fact that we're going to be sharpening these soon warrants that the pencils be a bit longer to take that into account. Have to deduct a star for that, otherwise between a slightly longer pencil length adn these being secured during shipment it'd be and EASY 5 stars. These MUST be shipped in a different way. A true 5 star product marred by packaging, and it's not the delivery carrier's fault. They WILL help your little one write better. I can definitely recommend these. Enjoy!

The fit perfectly in my student little fingers. They helped improve students writing almost immediately. The leads were not easily broken, much less "my pencil broke" interruptions.

These are fine for what they are. My son, who struggles with fine motor skills and pencil grip in particular doesn’t do any better with these than a normal pencil. But he doesn’t do worse either. Of note, his OT told me he should be writing with pencils no longer than 1.5”, but those are impossible to find.

Great for kindergarten class. Shows them how to grip a pencil correctly. Wish I had two sharpeners though
