The box says imprinted in North Carolina but it says made in China. I ordered it for a first year teacher who had it on her wish list.

Isn’t “play” a verb not an adverb? It makes me question the accuracy of the game.

Can be both. What to you do on play day, play. "A child at play may use a stick as an airplane." Game needs adult supervision to clarify these things.

Yes! Love this set. Making simple sentences is so easy especially with the picture tiles.

Re. "play" being an adverb, it cannot be. Yes, it is a noun or verb-- your explanation mistakenly says "plays" is an adverb. .??

from answers.com: "the word 'play' can be used as a noun and a verb. 'Plays' is either the third person singular present tense of the verb 'to play', or it's the plural of the noun 'play.'. It is not an adverb.

For the price I was expecting way more words to make better full sentences not just one of each type thing.

Great learning tool

I got this sentence building game for my first graders, and they absolutely love it. The word cards are colorful, sturdy, and easy for little hands to handle. It’s a fun way to practice sight words, phonics, and grammar all at once. My students enjoy building silly sentences, which keeps them engaged while still learning. It’s also flexible—I can use it for whole-group lessons, small groups, or centers. Definitely a great resource for early readers!
