Question 1

This product says Packaged in the USA. Where is it made? Is is USA beef?

Accepted Answer

33 Countries are eligible to export beef to the USA. Most organic beef used for organic beef jerky comes from New Zealand. https://www.fsis.usda.gov/wps/wcm/connect/4872809d-90c6-4fa6-a2a8-baa77f48e9af/Countries_Products_Eligible_for_Export.pdf?MOD=AJPERES And where do their bags come from? I will bet 100% that their bags come from China, so do their displays. Why would they only say Packaged in the USA if they were not trying to hide something from the public? Remember the big scare that happened just a few years back when tons of dog treat jerky was killing pets? Those dog treats were made in China where there regulations are not as stringent as the USDA in America. Buyer beware.

Question 2

I ordered 2 bags of the Sweet & Hot, one looks fine and the other is about half molded......should I destroy or would you like it back???

Accepted Answer

Mine came today and is the same way!! One bag molded

Question 3

How long is the expiration date from date of manufacture? Product shelf life?

Accepted Answer

Our products don't have an expiration date. Each package has a Best By Date, which is 12 months from the date the product is packaged & is on the back of each package. During this time we guarantee the product is fresh like the day it was packaged.

Question 4

why all the moldy complaints? see the one star reviews. Is this common to all brands? You just take yer chances??

Accepted Answer

Unopen beg if stored correctly will not have mold unless somehow moister got in

Also once the bag is open. Open air have moister so if you dont consume it for a long time it will start to mold. So if you open it. Best to consume the whole bag in a week

So ya. Those 1 star review with mold is 2 things

Bad batch like other people say

Or

They couldnt finish it all for a long time and started to mold

The reason i know this because i open a Costco beef jerky once and i left in a drawer and forgot about it for a month. When i open it, it was 100% molded
