I like it! Kind of expensive, but it is good!

It is good flavorwise, not noticing the brain boost though.

I love mushrooms as adaptogens for that gentle boost of energy. I used to use OM brain fuel coffee, but this is much better. The flavor is balanced, nice and chocolatey and coffeewithout being too sweet. This has a bit of coconut sugar in it so the sweet is very gentle. Other brands have monk fruit sweetener, which can be overpowering. Host defense is my new favorite brand.

So I read several reviews before I purchased and saw some that said it taste earthy or like dirt! I bought the Mocha flavor and OMG! This is literally hot cocoa! Only thing missing is some cream, maybe a bit more sweetner if you prefer it sweet and some marshmallows! I promise if you want your kids to have a healthier solution drinking cocoa, this is it!!! Delicious! . . .Now for my Ryze drinkers, be sure to do a comparison for the benefits! They are both healthy mushroom drinks but both offer excellent but different benefits! I am adopting this drink as an added beneficial solution to my morning routine (I always had 2 cups of coffee so why not!), not a replacement because I want the best they both have to offer!! Looking forward to the other flavors!!! If you are on the fence, go ahead and get this Host Defense! It won't disappoint!

The calories are high and the nutritional breakdown isn't clear as to how much caffeine. It takes 2 servings to add enough texture and the caffeine effect. Flavor is great but if your are on a calorie restriction diet there are better ways to go.
