I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading the various reviews so I will try to describe them a bit better. If you have eaten natural sweet tamarind pods you know you must first remove the hard outer shell of the pods and the main fiber strands that surround the tasty pulp that in turn surrounds the plants hard shiny 1/2” seeds. When I say hard I actually mean SUPER HARD!! It could possibly be a very painful and expen$ive mistake to try and chew the seeds!😖😳🥵 So the maker of these tasty treats was nice enough to remove the exterior pod and hard fibers but left the shiny black seeds that actually sound like pebbles when they hit each other or your teeth, and they left the tough hulls that cover the seeds in the sweet sticky pulp. Normally eating these is a rather slow and messy process as the thin hard shells crumble into many small pieces. Then after removing the main fiber strands you can either use your fingernails to remove the seeds or pop the hole thing (or smaller bites) in your mouth including the 1-6 (or more) seeds and use your tongue and teeth to separate the seeds and spit them out. Sometimes I also spit out the small chewy, thin seed hulls. OK so then the manufacturer covers the raw tamarind pulp/seed portion with the sugar/chile powder/salt etc. They are pretty yummy and I have to force myself to stop eating them after about 5-7 of them to prevent overdosing on the sugar. 👉Now can anyone tell me how a product whose serving size is listed at 60 grams, has sugar as the second ingredient, has 40 grams of sugar per serving then says it has ZERO grams of added sugar?🤔😳🤭🤷🏻♂️WTF??🤷🏻♂️

There is a seed in every ball if not two. Flavor is good but is more sweet than salty and pepper is not as hot which is good.

I was introduced to mexican candy back in the early 2000s in high school and still don't know a lot nor do I speak spanish but have always liked the tamarind flavored hard candy like Rollerindos and the rich spice flavors of other candies and food included. What a wonderful experience with these snacks, the flavor is absolutely fantastic!! I would recommend anyone that loves the Rollerrindos hard candy to give these a try, it will definitely be worth your purchase. If you are buying these for the first time do watch out for seeds, these have larger seeds inside so you don't want to bite down too hard but you will get a feel for how to eat them. Extremely happy to have the opportunity to give these a try, I will definitely be buying more.

The seeds are like little rocks. I tried to chew them but they're not breaking. I don't know if this is actually edible or if I'm supposed to spit them out or what. Flavor wise the chili is good. The flavor is good but I also didn't realize how much carbohydrates is in this product. I don't think I'm going to try to finish the rest of this bag due to the seeds. I could overlook the carbohydrates but the seeds are a deal breaker. I think I'm going to take them to the shop and hit him with the hammer and see how much force it takes to actually crush these seeds open because my teeth cannot do it.
