キャンプに行くわけでもなく またDIYで作業するわけでもなく ナイフコレクターとして購入しました。 購入したナイフを研ぐことが楽しく また手に取って眺めているのも楽しいです。 いろいろ買いましたが手元に最も多いのはBenchmadeで やはり見た目の美しさと 刃の仕上げがとても美しく 何よりデザインがとても素敵です。

Bought 2 of these (different colors) for my son and I. I just love them. Extremely light, compact, but strudy and sharp. The also seem very durable, and the finish is great.

It seems like a good size edc knife. I’ve owned other Benchmade knives, and have been very satisfied with them.

I put 5 stars, not just to get attention, but because this is going to be long. No AI is being used in this writing. I was disappointed. I'm new to knife collecting, and I am legitimately psyched that there's a scene for it. But I've been collecting mid-tier knifes while I figure out what I like. Shout-out to Civivi. I have 3 that I rotate though and have learned a little about knife care, dismantling, and sharpening. They're great knives if you don't mind a regular maintenance... and I don't! So of course it was only a matter of time before the Bugout 535 made it into my feed. And I fell for the hype and watched all the reviews and just got into the idea of it. So as soon as I saw a deal, I hopped on it... (yeah I see what I did there. I'm not sorry). And waited with bated breath. I was really excited and maybe even oversold it to myself. Then I got it. It felt like Christmas Day! I grabbed the box, hastily opened it up (using my Elementium II) and examined the packaging... Nice! Then I carefully opened it - ooooh I can't wait! And there it was! Just.. sorta, tossed in there. I honestly had expected an experience more akin to getting a nice watch. But no big deal so I brushed it off. I have a Benchmade! So I picked it up, and had one of those moments, like when you pick up a soda can you think is full. Whoop! I lifted too hard. It popped up out of my hand, and dropped right onto the floor. This thing weighs a meaningful fraction less than any other EDC I own. So I picked it up and gently admired it. The texture of the handle feels nice and grippy... but it caves a little under your grip... or at least feels like it does to me. But that's all good - here's the moment I get that much loved buttery opening....... It opened about a quarter of the way before I had to really push on it. And the AXIS release... Well it released, but the knife didn't go anywhere. There was no way I was going to be able to use this single handed. What the hell had I really gotten myself into? So I started examining, and woking the blade manually back and forth. Maybe it just needed to be broken in a bit. You know what's coming next. I lost my focus for half a second and just barely - and I mean angles breath - barely tapped my pinky against the business end. "Nahh - I missed it." is what I said to myself, moments before I absolutely needed a band-aid. So while I had the time to think while patching myself up and cussing a lot, I couldn't figure out what had went so wrong. Was it a knockoff? Was it all just youtube hype and marketing? But the second I saw that knife perform (gross, I know), I knew I was looking at this the wrong way. I'm the kind of person who loves to tinker, build, and generally make my tools work for me. So that's exactly what I did. I sat down at my bench, and I stripped apart my brand new $200 knife. And that's when it hit me. I wasn't mad anymore - I was really really happy. I just bought a knife that's literally designed to make my way. They provide *very* good steel, and bits that come apart easily.... once you figure out how they specifically work. They don't go to together without a bit of trial and error - so wear a cutting glove! It's a wonderful experience! Even with this baseline - I could tune it and make behave the exact way I want. Glorious! So the reality is that I actually bought a tool that made me smarter for the effort. I still don't like the weight, so I got Flytanium scales for it because I'm apparently a fanboy now. Those just arrived today... man, I'm in love. This knife has been a joy to work with, and the tinkering and tuning is every bit as valuable as the steel and the lifetime support. I think they could use a modification or two on their packaging and presentation. I think the knife is too light for me. And the general state of the knife, if mine is representative of the average, is meh when you first interact with it. I think I'd have been just as happy ordering this knife as a kit. As a matter of fact, that may have made me pull the trigger on buying sooner. I had to keep an open mind while I interacted with it.. I had to get a feel for it. But now I love it. All said: Good job, Benchmade. This is a fine tool, and I'm geeked that I have your steel working the way I need.

My husband loves these knives, they are on the mor expensive side but they’re worth it for the quality and the warranty that comes with them.
