This is an excellent game! I've loved the span games ever since wingspan. I was worried that after wyrmspan they were taking a step down. Let's be honest, a board game about fish sounds pretty lame after dealing with dragons. But this game does an excellent job of simplifying the wingspan experience. Wyrmspan made it more complicated, but finspan makes it more casual. The basic premise is the same as wingspan or wyrmspan. Three lanes you try to fill with different types of fish, but this game replaces the resource challenges with cards and eggs and fish. It makes for a much faster game. My favorite feature of the game is the fact that you can take back cards you discard. In wingspan and wyrmspan, once a card was discarded, it was gone forever. In this game you have the ability to take back cards you discard into your hand. If you are a fan of wingspan and wyrmspan, this game is for you. If you haven't played either of those games yet, this is a great way to get started.

Stonemaier have made a great addition to the Span series of boardgames. Like it's predecessors, Finspan is a strategic, engine-building game where players will collect fish based cards to score maximum points 🐠🐟 The gameplay is easy-to-learn and the variety of different cards makes each round feel unique. I would highly recommend to those familiar with Wingspan/Wyrmspan and those new to the span series 😁👍

Love the whole span series! This is the quickest version for sure.
