Just started using this. Our ferrier recommended this as our horses are barefoot. Their hoofs are in good shape but he feels this will help their walls especially since summer riding is coming. I will update after a few weeks. So far the horses love how it taste. My husband mentioned that he smelled a scent he didn’t recognize and asked if I would look up what is in the ingredients. Reading about this product I am super stoked to see it helps with the horses ligaments along with being a COMPLETE nutrition supplement. So for one price I have already saved money!! It’s good for their skin and coats also. Another supplement I don’t need to now buy. The value is amazing when I compared with other products that offer supportive nutritional ingredients and then charge more for those additional supplements. Farrier’s formula does not charge extra. So I give this a five star for now.

If you need your horse's hooves and soles to grow, Farriers Formula is the product for you! In just 6 weeks my tender footed horse grew enough sole that it was sluffing off, and his hoof wall became thicker. This product has helped my horse to be able to go barefoot. I've tried other hoof supplements, none of them even come close to Farriers Formula. I use the regular strength. I also used a hoof toughener product called Durasole. It is a purple liquid that you apply to the sole and it works really well to harden the sole on my tender footed horse. I use a dobber to apply it to the sole.

My horses hooves were really in bad shape. The hoof walls had nearly disappeared. My farrier recommended I give this a try, but telling me that it would probably be up to a year to see any significant improvements. My horse is currently in a 4-week trim cycle, he is barefoot. My farrier couldn’t believe the amazing results in the first three months. We still have a little ways to go after about 7-months, but we can see the great improvements every four weeks. I have always used the double strength, but when his feet have returned to normal we will switch to regular strength since it is about $30 a bag cheaper. Highly recommend this stuff, but remember, your horses hooves didn’t get in bad condition over night so don’t expect overnite results. Be patient.

I dont know exactly why this is so much more than other hoof supplements. I did not look carefully at the different ingredients as opposed to the others. But my horse's hooves are really strong just now- after roughly a month. I'd suggest comparing for yourself.

Great product. It definitely helps our horses hooves get stronger and keep from cracking between trims. Our horses have never refused eating it. Worth the money!
