Bamboo Fences Hardcover – May 22, 2009

here in Rio de Janeiro we have a marvelous bamboo course that drove me to look for bamboo books.when I bought both "bamboo fences" and "building bamboo fences" my eldest daughter has asked me why bamboo fences by the same author(isao yoshikawa)?This wonderful way to "look inside" the books gives us the unique chance to choose without a blind system.bamboo fences is a remarkable photo book about this milenar japanese technique.in the building bamboo fences half the book is another basket of splendid fence photos and the other half the drawings show how to do them.My advice: buy both together and do not tell your kids.

Good pictures, clear explanations of construction. Gives lots of food for creative thought. I gave it to several people for a gift.

Great reference for construction of a Japanese fence in the backyard

I have a few books on this topic and this is "The One". The the photos are well done and the text is valuable in understanding the subject.

Great pictures. Very interesting book of bamboo fence in Japan. Pictures help to understand the differences in types of fences to some extent. But I feel some more line pictures could have been added to show details of construction.
