All Souls Trilogy Collection Deborah Harkness 3 Books Set (The Book of Life, Shadow of Night, A discovery of witches )

I'm loving this trilogy!! Also streaming the series on TV; it's so beautifully done. Great casting, gorgeous settings, loads of eye candy. Reading the books (which are so much more detailed than the TV series can ever hope to be) helps me understand and appreciate what's going on in the screen version. With what we've all been enduring over the past year, don't we all need a little escape?

Saw the show! Had to get the books! Bought on here cuz i got all 3, plus the 2 sequel on here for close to half priced, compared to the book stores!

This was a gift for my girlfriend who lost her original copies in a house fire ☹️. These hardbacks made her extremely happy and arrived quickly. Excellent.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series. The 3rd and 4th book was just ok. My main problem is that they perfumed the books. I'm allergy to perfume so it was a difficult read.

I am so excited to read the Trilogy but the only reason why it wasn’t 5 stars is because the handling/packaging of the books. What the heck is all over the pages. This is second product this month that came to me damaged. A coffee mug that was ordered as a Valentines Day gift has to be sent back because it was cracked completely in half

The series is absolutely wonderfully written. It has mystery, fantasy, and a great deal of action as well as forbidden love. Her characters are well constructed. The second book does seem to slow down in the beginning but you are rewarded for your efforts. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys creatures fighting for a good cause,a strong romance pushing against absence and desire, and if you are not afraid big fat books.

Absolutely love these books! I started reading the first one quite reluctantly as it was given to me by a relative even though I didn't have much interest in this kind of content. I needed something to keep my mind off of this coronavirus isolation so I started reading. I ended up ordering the trilogy and reading all of them in less than a week! It is obvious the writer is an academic as the books are so well researched and written that I felt I was there, experiencing it all. Things I liked the most: - the writer successfully plays with science which makes the fictional world grounded and tangible - the characters are adults. No teenagers in high school. - main character is an accomplished scholar. A welcome change from the usual writer/editor/fashion-this-and-that choice of main female character's profession in pop culture - the possessiveness and patriarchy is well handled so it doesn't come across as romanticised. They are both behaving as adults. - a lot of it is set in Oxford where I live and it is obvious the writer knows it well. Going to town will never be the same!

Absolutely enjoyed reading these books, Saw the series and felt I had to read the series. Also read the 4th book about Marcus and Pheobe just as good. would highly recommend the 4 books.

love this cover style would of been nice as a hardback but looks great on my bookshelf and I love the series.

Sehr schön und spannend zu lesen. Es fällt schwer, diese Bücher aus der Hand zu legen und weil man wissen möchte, wie es weitergeht, sollte man gleich die gesamte Trilogie bestellen.
