Better than Penzey’s!
A great product! I used to buy Penzey’s, but decided to try this because it was a fraction of the price. I am not disappointed at all! Wonderful flavor and not too hot. I love this in my breakfast potatoes. Very tasty without too much salt. A great value and a great product!

Mild heat and low salt; awesome!
Awesome! Great choice fir low salt seasoning. After a bit of trial and error discovered flavor profile works great when sprinkled on fried wings, shrimp and french fries . I also use Hooters wing breading mix for my wings and shrimp. I toss with light sprinkle after cooking adds awesome flavor and just the right amount of heat. Low salt option for me when pairing them together. I use for all my fish fry gatherings! I prefer adding after cooking my fried foods; just as I like to sprinkle lemon pepper on fried items after cooking ;-) I use Amazon's Subcribe and Save I always have a container on hand! The large canister is great addition to my spice collection.

Delicious but not as good as Five Guys
Our family purchased this seasoning because we LOVE Five Guys Cajun Fries and after getting on google to find out how their seasoning was made, several people said it was McCormick Cajun Seasoning. Well, we purchased two regular fries and asked for the seasoning on the side. We then saved the seasoning and ordered McCormicks here on Amazon and we can honestly say it is NOT the same. Five Guys is almost like very fine like dust. Whereas McCormick's is very course and even has large flakes in it. Additionally, the seasoning from Five Guys is a wee bit more spicy and appears to have less sodium. However, McCormicks is very good! We mixed ours with some McCormick Cheyenne pepper (which we also ordered on Amazon) and, other than the fact that McCormick's season has larger flakes and more sodium, it almost matches Five Guys perfectly-- almost! We have no regrets. It's great on potatoes, salmon and veggies.

Best Cajun seasoning!
This is the same Cajun seasoning that five guys and cookout uses! This is my favorite Cajun seasoning because it isn't overly salty like "slap ya mama" Cajun seasoning.

Authentic spicy Cajun flavours
Love this seasoning, we use it on seafood, fries & chicken. There is no saltiness like you get in other seasonings, this size lasts us at least 4 months, great value for money.

The Cookout Cajun Seasoning!
Great spice! If you ever go to Cookout in Eastern South of the USA this is the Cajun Seasoning you can get on the fries. Def get some to have around.

Our family favorite
My teen suddenly fell in love with cajun flavors and spice after trying Cajun fries at Five Guys, so I sampled a few from amazon. Tried Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning Original & Hot Blend 8 oz Two Pack and the Tony Chachere's Bold Creole Seasoning 7oz and the Tony Chacheres More Spice Seasoning (Single). The hot slap ya mama is the only one which is mostly spice -- heat with a punch without too much salt. The other three, the original is very salty, but good if used like salt -- kid friendly. The more spice is still very salty, and also mild, tastes mostly of black pepper. Tony's bold has more heat, but is still fairly salty and should also be used like salt. Since we were looking for heat the Bold and this in hot version are hands down our favorites. If adding to already seasoned foods, then the slap ya mama hot is the way to go. By the way, none of these have the same flavors as the fries at five guys. August 2014 McCormick Bayou Cajun (no Msg) Seasoning , 21 oz Is definitely the one at Five Guys -- and our favorite -- lots of spice flavors and spicy as well without being overwhelmingly salty. It does have salt, so you can use like salt for a very spicy finish, or use in addition to salt for a milder effect. Of all five it has the most spice notes beyond heat, full of flavorful herbs. Slap Ya Mama Hot is the spiciest in terms of heat.
