It is made of PU (Polyurethane) resin. Leather look-alike items made with polyurethane (PU) are very consumer friendly and safe unlike older PVC leathers. I slept like a baby!! This is the first time I have slept this good in a long time. Placebo effect or not…who cares! It worked! I used this mat as much as I could yesterday. When I sat down to use the computer, sat to eat, or did anything really, it was at my feet. Then a full night sleep on the mat and it really made a difference. I’m taking note to see how much this actually effects my body over the next few weeks. I got a 2 pack so my daughter could have one also! It came with the outlet checker to verify the outlet you use is properly grounded.
