First time using this kind of paper for transfers to make a “pool rules” sign. I used my inkjet printer, forgot to change the paper size to A4..my bad... just learn from my mistakes so you don’t forget to change your paper size because it makes a huge difference! But anywho, I followed the directions and made sure to seal it using my favorite, Krylon Triple Thick clear sealer. That stuff is amazing! I did three coats just to make sure I got everything good a sealed. I then used the sheet I messed up printing the wrong size out for practice and I was amazed at how easy it was! What I learned... * make sure to seal very well. This will be the key to your success. * don’t soak paper! I used a little craft spray bottle of warm water and soaked the back of the water slide decal paper and the decal just started peeling off on its own when it was ready!! I couldn’t believe how nice and so much easier that was rather than soak the whole thing. * from reading other reviews, I purchased the silicone makeup spatulas. Best advice ever! Those things made it so much easier to grab the edge of the decal and place where I wanted it to go and then used it to smooth and get all the water and air bubbles out. I highly recommend that you purchase those along with this paper especially if it’s your first time like mine. * let’s talk about the negative reviews for a second... what I’m seeing is that people aren’t SEALING correctly if at all. People, read the instructions and other peoples tips for using these! You will learn so much by just taking the time to read!! Overall I’m extremely satisfied and will definitely be purchasing again. Since it was my first time using them I think my project turned out very good but I think I’ll redo it in the future BUT it wasn’t because of the decal, it was because of my design and the colors I used were to dark. Lesson learned! Also when I sealed my finished project, the wind kicked up and got little pieces of crap sealed with it. Another lesson learned!

Below I have my original review, but after being contacted by the company I agreed to try the product again, free of charge. They told me it was likely a bad batch and unfortunately this can happen with any of the brands (see other brands reviews as well). I reordered and was able to try again tonight. OH MY GOODNESS what a difference. I printed, sprayed and dropped it into a bowl of warm water. The image started to lift after 10 seconds....WORLDS different than my original experience (see below). It worked and it worked easily! I'm thrilled. Now I can complete my projects and I do see what all the fuss is about! Excellent product, and if yours isn't DO NOT HESITATE to let them know. Customer service was amazing. I'm so glad I tried again. Now off to finish the rest of my project! (original review with the faulty batch) I tried everything and I could not get the transfer to separate from the white backing. When I was finally able to separate the image was imperfect because it either had white backing remaining or it was mangled from trying to separate form the back. Was really disappointed. Will be trying another brand.

I wanted to make logo golf balls for my sons grad party without paying a fortune to have them made. I did not find a sticker paper that would lay flat enough or not wrinkle. I saw an article online using waterslide paper so thought I would try it. It was so easy. And I can’t believe how well it worked! It didn’t always lay flat on the round bumpy surface, but I cupped a paper towel in my palm and pressed the ball in it to dry it off and press it on. And it worked! The article I saw online suggested a coat of spray varnish after to make it set better. I can’t say anything about the durability as I haven’t varnished them yet. They mainly will be for decoration but if they hold up I will be doing this for company logos as well!! How fun!

I chose not to use the varnish per the instructions, as it tends to turn projects kind of yellowish, Instead I used Rustoleum 2X Ultra cover Clear Gloss which is uv protected, bonds to plastic, and gives the decal a Bang! Ink dries fast, 2 X ,clear gloss, dries within 24 hours, Ink application using inkjet printer looks great! Also sticks with minimum bubbles and slides off backing paper easily after 30 sec. soak, can be re-positioned also which is a plus. I put the test decal on my printer to see it's adhesiveness, before doing other projects. Tough material, Ships fast, Very pleased...I will be buying again!

I'm not sure if I really like working with waterslides. It was challenging, but after a few mistakes I finally made some progress. It takes time to get the hang of using waterslides. I dont know if I will continue using them. They work well on ceramic white cups.

Perfect. Bought this to use for decals on tumblers. Never used water slides before. The image printed prefectly in my inkjet printer. I sprayed 3 coats of satin clear krylon with about 15 minutes time between coats. Cut it out and put it in room temperature water for about a minute and transferred it to the cup. Perfect, smooth and easy. This was my first attempt and I expected some issues but there wasnt any. I will be buying this again often.

Edit #2: they shipped a new package and I haven't been able to try it up until this morning. It seems that the new package works great! I used it for a whole cup waterslide and it worked great! Edited to say: the company contacted me and refunded me and sent me a new pack to try. We’ll see how the new pack works out. I bought this pack of clear waterslide paper because it was offered with 1 day shipping (and like 30 cents cheaper than my other brand) and I needed it in a pinch for a large order that needed to go out and the reviews were stellar. I make custom tumblers and use waterslide a lot so I know that this is not user error. Regardless of the temp of the water or how long I soak the waterslide in the water, it will not release from the backing. when I finally peel it from the back, it is wrinkled and I can no longer smooth it out. I just printed the label to send this set back and have already placed the order with the other brand I use!
