I love my 2020 civic but only one thing bothers me is that a fairly new model car doesn’t have wireless CarPlay ,which is quite annoying since I have to plug in to the low power jack in order to get CarPlay but meanwhile the socket charges very slow . With this product everything came to a perfect resolution. It is little and well made ,kind of like the wireless WiFi adapter on the desktop pc. It’s super easy to install.Plugin to the jack and pair with Bluetooth,and bam! It’s becoming wireless CarPlay so my phone is free from plugging into a none power jack .I can use CarPlay meanwhile charge my phone on usb c port my phone never out of battery ever since . The value is huge and I’m using a iPhone 14 Pro Max it works perfect with no issue. It works just like when it’s plugged in ,only there’s a tiny little bit of latency when watch videos but who cares I’m not gonna watch a movie while driving, if listening to music or podcasts the latency is barely a issue .The sound quality is just as it is on cable. I got this for my 2019 Hyundai Tucson for the value, I really enjoy it. I like how I can get in my car and it’s connected. It is a little laggy at times but fine for a phone calls and music. If you play YouTube in the background, the audio doesn’t sync as good as using a cord. Still worth the money and is an easy upgrade for a car that doesn’t have wireless CarPlay. This would be perfect for road trips or having multiple people in the car especially if you want to keep your phone connected while letting someone else use the charger or have someone control the music from the backseat on their phone. The only thing that’s kind of annoying is if you accept a phone call near the car it will connect to the car, like if you had just turned the car off. But I just unplug it.

This little CarPlay adapter. It pairs well although it does use its own Bluetooth connection. It must be paired under a separate name that is different from the usual device being paired. After being paired, it works seamlessly. I am currently using a rental car temporarily and it has been much more user friendly than even the newer rental car. It has a shorter chord that doesn’t tangle and stays in place well. I really enjoy the fact that it has an adapter for the mini type c and the standard usp port. Some cars no longer have standard usb. I can easily take calls and listen to iTunes using this. I t would potentially be useful to upgrade a vehicle not equipped with the new technology. Also, the other day, I needed to change my phone bot only had a standard usb cable and was able to successfully use the included adapter to charge my device. It was a lifesaver. Very useful product.
