Accurate and works well so far

Would give it 5 stars if control buttons for the scale on the left side would be on the left side, and controls for the scale on the right side were on the same side as the scale. Design in counterintuitive.

The BOMATA Dual Platform Kitchen Scale is an incredibly versatile tool for any serious home cook or baker, brilliantly combining two scales into one unit. It features a large main platform with an 11lb (5kg) capacity for general kitchen use like measuring ingredients for recipes, and a smaller, highly precise 0.01g platform for minute measurements like yeast, spices, or coffee grounds. This dual-functionality eliminates the need for separate scales, saving space while providing the accuracy needed for both large-batch cooking and delicate, small-scale precision work.

I have been searching for a food scale for several months before selecting the Bomata dual platform kitchen scale. I primarily use it to weigh food items so I can track my nutrition amounts (protein, salt, carbs) more accurately on the App I use because estimating a deck of cards just wasnโt giving me the results I needed. Now I have started using the scale to weight recipe ingredients, so again, I can accurately track my nutrition. The scale platforms are easy to clean with a food safe spray on a paper towel, and then rinse by wiping with a damp paper towel, then drying. I either use a small sheet of wax paper on the platform or a bowl or plate. Thatโs where the โtareโ function comes in handy by taking the scale back to zero, so you only see the weight of the ingredient on the scale. I love that I can see different weight units, like grams, fluid or pound ounces, milk milliliters, but it also weighs in kilograms, tl on the large platform. The small platform weight units are in ounces, grams, gn (old unit of measure for grains), dwt (pennyweight part of the troy weight system), ozt (Troy ounces), tl (Tetra liter, volume unit), and ct (Carat). (*Note: I searched the internet for definitions of the weight units in parentheses.) I am so pleased to find this handy scale and use it every day!

First, its size, yes, it's small, but accuracy was the reason to buy it, right? Normally, if you're mixing together something that needs a large container, you don't really need precision of tenth's or hundred's. Since I'm baking for 1 or 2, a recipe is often cut in half or more, so the extra precision really helps. Display is clear, bright, & quite readable, controls simple to use. It also stays on longer then my previous scale, a major feature to me (I think I can also set it to not turn off, but haven't needed that yet). A simple feature, press tare to tare, press again, turns off, no press and hold - nice.
